  2. Hi everyone! I am Kali and I am a 32 year old mother of 3. I am going to be sleeved at San Antonio Medical Center(Air Force Wife) I am hoping to be sleeved end of October early November but no date yet so fingers crossed
  3. Do you have wide hips? I have a friend who is 5'7 and 135 and the smallest she has ever worn is a 9/10 she definitely has those " childbearing hips" she is skinny just wide at the hips and it is not fat.I know what it is to be size obsessed. I am preop but in my late teens I was an 8 and I want to try and see if I can get down to a 4 post op and I am 5'2 and a 16 now idk if it is ever gonna happen but I am going to try anyways.
  4. Dear Hubby or something like that...something to do with your husband definitely

  10. Well put Bean... My husband basically said there is a 1% chance of a major complication which means a 99% chance I will be fine. I am trying to get there and stay there lol
  11. I do too and I will soon be working at the same hospital where my surgery will be done.
  12. Sleeve Dude can you clarify?I was thinking that is a great idea but other peoples' responses have thrown me.... The only thing you are getting at McDonald's is movies right? Either way I will use the idea for CVS or Walgreens since they are everywhere near my house:)
  13. Add me as friend TexasDiva! ( I can't figure out how to do on my phone)I know what it is like to be far from family in a new city all to well...
  14. Are you having your surgery @ an MTF ? Our MTF (SAMMC)requires 2 forms of BC and they ask u to wait 18-24 months. They still want me to use BC and my husband had a vasectomy... I am not sure what they are trying to imply lol
  15. A Baby Sleever I am glad that @ 19 you have what it takes to take control of your weight situation and your life!I have been doing the yoyo thing since I was 13 I have weighed anywhere between 125and 234 over the last almost 20 years and the last 7 I have been on the heavy end.
  16. Has anyone tried those MIO drops you add to water bottles? I always see them but have never heard anything as far as whether or not they are good??I end up grabbing what I know lol
  17. Positive energy and prayers coming your way for a smooth surgery and easy recovery:)
  18. How old are you Panda Bear? I am 32
  19. Is it easier to go to mexico than to find your nearest MTF?I am just curious because if you have Tri Care they cover it at an MTF (reason why is complicated) The Bariatric Clinic at the MTF here in San Antonio is a Self Referral Clinic. You come here for the seminar and you get your checklist and you can complete some of the items on your checklist(like 3 mos NUT) wherever you live...I met a girl at the Seminar that drives from Oklahoma.According to the information I received on August 1st.You can qualify if you have BMI over 40 with no co morbidities and you can also qualify with a BMI 35-40 with only 1 co morbidity like hypertention, diabetes or sleep apnea(new change ).I hope this helps Here is the link for the MTF near me...http://www.bamc.amedd.army.mil/departments/surgery/bariatric/
  20. Sounds like something my cute, tiny, little Asian woman mother would say and it ticks me off all of the time lol.My mom knows nothing about dieting she does exercise but she only started maybe 2 years ago and she is 60 never been fat a day in her life.I tend to give her and a lot of people of other cultures the benefit of the doubt as to whether she means to be hurtful because in her culture and a lot others they are very blunt and it is not considered rude to state what they consider the "obvious". I know we live in America and people of other cultures know it too but some have trouble adapting.I say do what you did in this case and let the person know how it is...Don't Hate,Educate ps.I am also an advocate of if it is none of their business you don't have to tell them.I will only tell those I trust
