    Thank you both for your quick response... It helps me to make my mental choice easier. I am going to search for a good surgion in my area and make a consultation appointment. All I can do is pray I can find a surgion that will understand my history and will be able to work with me through it.     Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum and desperitly need to loose weight. I have been overweight most of my life and am at my heaviest now. I need to loose at least 125 pounds... I have tried many differant types of weight loss including having my jaw wired shut at one time =( I deal with a neurological injury and have had multiple surgerys... I take multiple medications including pain meds that can't be crushed. My question is... Would my medical history and medications prevent me from having the lap band surgery? I know I need to have a consult with a lap band doctor but I thought I would ask your oppinion first. Thanks again, Dawn
