Hi! Just got out of a do over. Sleeve to bypass and he also made my sleeve smaller. Anyways anyone ever have under your ear by your neck hurt and get swollen? I was thinking maybe when they put me to sleep I was clenching my teeth? Odd. It’s swollen and hot now. Waiting for message from the PA.

I had sleeve 2016, hiatal hernia and bypass 8/3/20 and going strong! sorry it took so long to reply but I work at a hospital and its crazy

Circlesis how much did you gain over the 6? I’m at 6 years as well. And have you lost any weight since?

Jean! I have my surgery scheduled 11/2. I met with my surgeon last week and he said as long as I stick to my no carb, Protein and physical activity I will lose the weight and go back down to my lowest. Today is my first day no coffee and I’m dying but ready to get back into track. I also follow some on IG that has revision for weight loss and she said it takes longer but possible if we follow the diet and don’t go back to our old habits. I totally know how much this sucks to have come so far only to gain lol but we got this!!!
-
@Latanya oh okay yes I gained back most but not all. I hear we have to chew a lot and it can get stuck. Hmmm. How much have you lost since your bypass?

On 9/28/2020 at 12:34 PM, dorkyfaerie said:Me! I only lost about 30 lbs with sleeve and gained half of it back due to maladaptive eating to avoid the symptoms of severe GERD. I just had revision to bypass on the 18th and am down 20 lbs from the start of my liquid diet 10 days prior to surgery. My doc said he expects me to lose about 60-65% of my excess weight, so a little less than I’d bypass was my first surgery.
-
@dorkyfaerie oohhh okay thank you so much for your reply! That’s really good! So like 60-65% of what you should be according to the bmi chart?
-
Oohh but that’s still good! are you following the diet the dietician gave you?

Same! 280, then sleeved 2012! 5 years later gained 50lbs now I saw my surgeon n he said the revision will get me back down but I’m reading others say they didn’t lose after or just 20. How are you doing

Hi all! Is there anyone here who got a revision from sleeve to bypass and lost more weight? If you did, did you gain wait after sleeve? My HW 280, Lowest sleeve weight was (2013)171, (2017)180 after 5 years, (2019) 190 on my wedding day and now w GERD and quarantine I’m 230
I get my surgery date this week for bypass. Are there any success stories of going back down to your lowest sleeve weight? I’m excited to no longer have to take omperozole but do want to lose and get back down to 170. Please let me know, looking for someone who achieved that lol

Hi I had my revision Monday 11/2. 11/3 was horrible. Not as easy as the sleeve was and I’m starving lol I cried, my nurses (2) sucked and I was in a lot of pain! More then before way more but today is day 5 post op and I’m better. My incisions started to get infected bcuz I had a rash from the dermabond so I had to Peep it off and now I’m on a horse pill antibiotic. I’m already dropping weight. I only felt a little acid last night when I had Greek yogurt. My doc gave me a diet plan to follow from day 3-16.
