  1. I was banded 7/23. So far I am down 35lbs including pre op loss. I just wanted to say that I am so excited & determined to go to Cedar Point next summer to ride the roller coasters which is something I haven't been able to do in 4 yrs! Just wanted to share!!
  2. I was taken to surgery at 7:30am & was released at 4:30pm same day. I was surprised as my blood pressure was 70's/30's in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit but my last bp check before leaving the hospital was 120/80 so they said I can go home. I feel as though I should've stayed overnight just for monitoring but everything worked out. I was able to go home & sleep in my own bed, having no complications!! I guess they know what they're doing!! Lol!
  3. Keep up the great work!! Congrats!!
  4. Juliebean-I can start to understand the frustration. I was banded on 7/23. I have lost 6 lbs since surgery. I haven't had my first fill yet so, I am trying not to get too worked up about it. Family & friends ask me all the time since surgery "how much weight have you lost?" that's when I begin to get annoyed. I don't feel they understand when I tell them this time is for healing & the weight loss will come later. Oh well, hang in there!! It'll come!!!
  5. Great for you! This process takes alot of commitment on your part. If you commit yourself to this, it'll be one of the best decisions you ever make!
  6. Hi everyone! I was banded/hiatal hernia repair on July 23. I am 31 years old & have struggled with my weight my entire life. I am married to a wonderful, loving & supportive husband who has been my biggest cheerleader! We actually have gone through this whole process together as he is going to have a gastric sleeve procedure Sept 17. It was a blessing to go through all these steps together! I am feeling good, each day is getting better & better. Between the pre-surgical diet & weight loss since surgery, I already notice a difference in my body. I can't wait to see what my Lap Band journey holds for me. I am so happy my husband & I are doing this, we still have many years left together & this will allow us to have a better quality of life!!
  7. I was banded on July 23, I am so happy with my decision!! This may be silly but.....the last few days I have been getting a case of the hiccups several times a day. These episodes are uncomfortable. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, anyone have any advice? Thanks!
  8. I was banded July 25 & just recently started feeling hungry all the time. I followed the tips of other posters who have gone through the same & I increased my protein & also made sure I was taking in my fluids adequately. Sugar free popsicles are my saving grace! This has helped me immensely!!
