Body Fortress Advanced Whey Protein
- Uh Oh...
I've started a new job and I've been stressed. For me, stress=bad eating. I've eaten too fast and too much and I make myself miserable. Please help me get through this! Sent from my DROID X2 using VST- Body Fortress Advanced Whey Protein
True...I never can drink all that in one sitting...but if you drink it throughout the day, you'll be sure to meet your protein intake! Sent from my DROID X2 using VST- Body Fortress Advanced Whey Protein
I like the Cookies and cream...I'm a milk fanatic so I put one scoop to like 10 oz and drink on it...I like of a little diluted with milk... Sent from my DROID X2 using VST- Pain Nearly 3 Wks Out?
If it's a uniform procedure, your stomach is pulled out of the lower left incision and requires more pulling and tugging and muscle strain. A suture is used. It's probably just muscle strain. I had a point where it hurt to move at all and I thought I had a hernia. The surgeon then reassured me that it wasn't and told me what it was from. I would just make sure to go in to get checked if it gets worse and not better.- What All Do You Do Before Surgery?
This is what I've had to do (but in no particular order...just the order I did them) Physical and Pap Smear from PCP with clearance for surgery (you may need a mammogram if over a certain age and I think it's dependent on your insurance and doctor) Lab work drawn Seminar with the surgeon Nutrition Consult Psych Evaluation First appointment with surgeon Endoscopy Final PreOP appt It took a lot of coordinating and nagging on my part to make sure everything was sent to the surgeon's office in a timely fashion. You'll have to pay for all appointments if they require a co-pay but I'm not sure what they mean by everything after the Psych...you might want to call them back and see if there's a certain order you have to go in.- Body Fortress Advanced Whey Protein
Cost has always been an issue for me and even though I like some of the other brands, this brand is only $15 at Walmart for a tub. Two scoops = 52 g protein so add skim milk to it and you have over 60 g of protein to one shake! It's not too bad either and has less than 4 g carbs and sugar.- Oh Yeah Drinks From Vitacost
No problems but I don't get them often. They are really expensive and I don't have the patience to order online! haha There are a few convenient stores that sell them but the cheapest I've found them were $3.00 each. That's great that they sent you another case without issue! Sometimes that alone is worth getting them.- Progress photos!

Its hard to get all my Protein and stay that low...I've been getting like 700 calories some days ... Sent from my DROID X2 using VST- Calories?
How many calories should I be getting or should I be focusing more on my Protein intake? I'm almost 7 weeks post op... Sent from my DROID X2 using VST- My Preop Journey
Of course you can! If you want it, you'll do it! I think you're definitely on the right track! What kind of exercise are you doing? What kind of diet?- How To Gain Weight Post-Op
I was scared about having this happen but I was told that as long as I followed the diet plan, I would never get too skinny. I guess it can happen. I would consult your doctor about it for sure because you don't want to go the unhealthy route.- Weight Gain
I agree with the water weight. We bloat up badly during that time and we just have to keep it flushed!- Any Charlotte Nc Sleevers?
Oh man!! I'm so sorry to hear this! I had a blood clot in my leg when I was pregnant with my son a little over 4 years ago. They still let me have the surgery so maybe down the road if this is still an option you will be able to do it? I am glad they caught it and you are doing okay! Is it a blood disorder or caused by weight? Mine was pregnancy and weight related...- Advice Please!
Have you introduced any new foods lately? I'm not sure...I'd discuss it with your surgeon though!- Hunger...
I feel hunger? I am 5 weeks post op....- How Long Until You Felt Normal Again
Everyone is different. BUT it will take a full 6-8 weeks to feel 100%. I went back to work at almost 3 weeks post-op but I felt absolutely miserable. I was so tired for that first week back and I too have a desk job. Just be careful and get your doctor to write that you need to take frequent breaks. I regret going back to work when I did. I felt okay and had energy but I just wasn't ready. Good luck to you!- Urging All To Tell Co-Workers
That's a great point! And I'm glad you're okay! I actually didn't tell all of my co-workers as I have hundreds but told those I'm close to and I know it was spread around. I'm not ashamed at all and even though I get tired of answering questions all the time, I have nothing to hide. I'm proud of my decision to get surgery!!- Tired Of The "when Can You Have___ Again?" Questions
Haha! You poor thing! We're all so deprived! I just told my husband that if someone gets so depressed like that about not eating then there is a deeper issue there.- Tired Of The "when Can You Have___ Again?" Questions
For me, it has nothing to do with genuinely wanting to know the answer to something. I answer questions even though they annoy me because the people asking me questions may know someone or are looking into doing it themselves. When I get annoyed, it's when people question everything. I was asked the week I returned to work if I've hit the depression stage yet. I didn't know what he was talking about and he said his son got it and EVERYONE that gets the surgery goes through this horrible depression because they cannot eat anymore and yadda yadda. It made me a little upset and I asked him if he was trying to pull me down when I was already up. I am HAPPY! I agree you should go into the surgery informed. I wouldn't go into any surgery without knowing what I was getting myself into.- Tired Of The "when Can You Have___ Again?" Questions
To add another...when people see you eating something and they question you about whether you're allowed to have it...when did they become the expert all of a sudden? And I was just told today that if everyone would just follow the diet I'm on right now, everyone could lose weight easily. Who in here would honestly be able to eat 1/4 of a cup of food BEFORE surgery and feel satisfied? ..............Yeah, me neither. - Uh Oh...
