  1. So we had another rough night with him not being able to sleep with his ear infection. Then he actually sleeps IN in the morning and my mom calls and tells me I have to get up and watch the storms, the first big round is about to come through. Waaah I never get to sleep.
  2. I just googled Judy, I never realized Aleve was an NSAID! I've *never* had problems taking it, and I didn't realize it was an NSAID and taken my extra precautions that I do with Advil. Advil and Rx NSAIDS are the only ones that I've ever had a problem if I didn't make sure to flush it down.
  3. Michelle I just wanted to pip in about letting your kids know... We've had cats our whole life, most of them were outdoor and died by a car hitting them, things like that (such a different time, my cats have all been indoors I can't fathom 'outdoor cats' anymore). Anyway, we also had to put down a cat that kept attacking people. The attacking cat, I got to know about and say my goodbye.. and I'm still torn up about my favorite cat as a child that was runover, I remember mom picking me up from school and telling me and how horrible I felt that I didn't get to give her one last hug. my 2 cents is to let them know so they can give Mo one last big hug. It's not like they are little kids that don't understand, they're old enough to understand saying goodbye, especially with what's gone on lately for you guys. Rough year indeed, you're in my thoughts!!
  4. And Michelle I am sorry about Mo, I know how hard that kind of decision is You have stuck it out much longer than I think we could have, you've been a good furbaby mommy.
  5. Judy- I'm listening to Biscuits of Zazzamarandabo (VT) as I type this hah! As for Aleeve, that is fine. Motrin is an NSAID. NSAID's are terribly acidic and can erode your stomach if it sits in the pouch (lick the coating off of an advil and taste it and you'll understand hah hah, ugh it's horrible, don't really do it LOL). I do take NSAID's sometimes, I have RX ones that are like horse pills and time release.. they are bad bad, I made that mistake once. Now if I need one, I take Advil--I actually take mine on an empty stomach and drink a whole bottle of water to make sure it washes on through. I have made the mistake of taking it at night before bed, and it wakes me up all night puking acid. So there's that. Carson got up at about 11:30 last night, 10m after I just fell asleep (he is so good at that). He was up till 2am, wanting to PLAY. We brought him to bed with us after many attempts of rocking back to sleep. He wouldn't just watch TV he wanted to dance, smack, grab, claw, etc. all over us.. so no sleep. At 2am I finally decided he could do all this in his own bed.. and sure enough, I tried rocking him again--he wasn't having it, so I put him in the crib and within 2m of shrieking he was asleep. My sister had tubes and my aunt had tubes multiple times with no success and had to end up having some other surgery. I never had ear problems, but I know the problems THEY went through and it was no good.
  6. Did I say already, at his 1st birthday party it was like suddenly things clicked in his head.. he waves bye-bye now, and braves steps off of furniture (he's made a couple now), he squats and tries to stand back up after picking something up, and talks a LOT. It all started at his bday party, so everyone got to see all this. Besides the waving, he's attempted things, but sporadically.. but at his party he waved bye bye to everyone, attempted to walk during present opening, etc. Anywho... We finally got him to go to bed around 8:30, it's 9:30 and he just woke up screaming. You can tell he hurts. Stupid bacteria and crap. Wish they gave them pain meds!!!! I am scared he's going to end up with tubes, on Monday the doc said we need to watch for it, since he had 2x ear infections, then some leaking without infection, and then here we are 2 days later and he has an infection. We were called to the daycare earlier today that he had a 103.5 fever. I figured it was from immunizations, but ped said bring him in.. and then it was an ear infection. DARN IT.
  7. Well we got it flavored cherry, didn't do any good. Spit out what I first tried, then when I forced it he gagged and threw it up. I'm going to resort to the spoonful of chocolate syrup with the meds I have read about online. Going to be a long 10 days. Russ is in there rocking him now, he's not wanting to go to sleep despite being ridiculously tired. READY FOR IT HAYDEE?!
  8. And we have another ear infection.. and a larger dosed round of augmentin. SIGH!!!!!
  9. I liked Glee last night more than I thought I would. I don't particularly like Madonna's songs, and I don't like theme weeks, but it was ok, I liked the story lines going on! Modern Family and The Middle are my fav. shows right now. Wed. night is a great tv night for us!! Are ya'll watching the new show Parenthood too? I really like that one too. There's a LOT of new shows out right now that I am liking.
  10. GOOOOOOD NESSSS. Word of warning, if you feel like making a company profile page on your facebook, take a few shots ahead of time. I have the worst headache ever trying to figure this crap out.. they do NOT make it easy. And starting TODAY it seems, they no longer have 'become a fan', but 'like'. And I wanted fans. Darn it.
  11. Yeah I knew YOU didn't drink, never asked you why, just figured ya'll didn't drink!
  12. For the record, I'm not bringing dancing shoes. There, I said it. I'm bringing my sit-my-fat-ass-in-a-chair shoes. ESPECIALLY if it's suppose to be hot.. Bobster drinks?!
  13. I tried finding it on youtube, all I found was like a 30s clip and the whole episode. Haydee, a few of my exes befriended me on FB, I accepted them but I don't know why they bothered. Some have been friends now for over a year and we don't say a word to each other. I just see them posting their drama...
  14. Ok YOUTUBE'ing it for ya'll. Heather, I am going to post you Carson's 3 favorite Veggietale songs, see if Ayla likes them!! He squeals, claps and dances. And Michelle, Pam posted a video on her Facebook that she wanted you to see. It's a good one! Heather: YouTube - God is Bigger than the Boogie Man Michelle: (See if this works?) Login | Facebook WHILE I AM AT IT.. Pam, Veggietales has a song where they're making fun of boybands (NSync comes to mind). Watch this one hehehehehe..
  15. Same as Michelle, Amazon recommended the book, but it just doesn't seem interesting, so I haven't opened it yet.
  16. Congratulations ARE still in order, go Jane!!
  17. Veggietales! XD Thanks, we had a lot of fun yesterday!! Then today we did his 1-year check up and 3x shots. He fell asleep on my shoulder before they came in to do the shots, boy was that bad. He is above average in height & head circumfrence, and BELOW average in weight. How did that happen?! Shows how messed up baby sizing is, for a baby that is below average in weight he is wearing size 18m at 12m. He is 31" and 22lb.
  18. Michael Jackson died?!?!
  19. I ended up using a roasting pan and it worked great. A lot of stressful moments trying to do detailing, for one the green never got dark enough, but I'm over it.. the face, phew. Black icing makes me nervous, there's no going back. But I am really happy with how it turned out, you can actually tell what it is--that's a big leap for me, I never execute cake decorating like I see it in my head.
  20. Judy let me know how that movie is, I can't decide if I want to see it!!
  21. Thanks! We are having a big party on Sunday, and I'm going to make him a cake. I was going to make a red Bob tomato from Veggietales, but he got yellow icing on him a week or so ago at Leslie's party and he broke out really bad, so apparently the dyes don't sit well with him. I'm just going to use white for his cake. I found a recipe for a banana/applesauce cake that has no egg or milk in it, and a cream cheese/apple frosting.
  22. Ohhh I love dulce caramel ice creams, and that one sounds wonderful. Luckily I am past the ridiculous cravings I had the past couple days.
  23. You know, I was thinking it. But I wasn't going to say it, because I am ravenously PMSy and B&J sounds wonderful. If I was at a grocery store today there would be more than 1 tub..
  24. Soooo Russ' parents haven't filed taxes on their business or personal in 8-10 years. We knew one day it was going to get them in trouble, and today is apparently that day. His brother called about 20m ago and said the IRS just showed up at the house. Sick to my stomach, I don't know what this is going to mean. Jail time? Are they going to move in with us? We can't afford to have his family live with us. Also makes me mad, for years Russ told them they need to fix it, and I have a feeling this is somehow going to become a problem for us.
  25. Lipo?! I got out of my strict eatin when I went to Vegas, I GUESS I need to get back on the boat.
