Woohoo! But don't worry about it, they made it sound pretty painful!

My port flipped around, I ended up having revision surgery to move it.. but the first 6 months, he poked and poked and poked, and poked and poked, etc. Up to 20 times some visits, and it still never went in. He didn't do numbing stuff either, and it wasn't bad at all. The only part that hurt was about 15 minutes afterward it bruised and was tender.. but the actual poking was nothing.

Oh yeah, I'd have to think about it, I've heard about the other support groups that aren't banders, it's kind of hard to relate in the scheme of things, what do you think of the one you go to?

And by all means, jump in the Shrinking Violets. It's for people who were banded April of 07, but we have several ladies who weren't banded then who joined. Pretty good crowd, but we can be rowdy

I don't mind helping at all! Aren't ragdolls the best?! I have a blue bi-color boy, who is my BIG boy.. he's so soft and cuddly. My other one is 1/2 ragdoll, 1/2 (Siamese I think), we got her from a ragdoll rescue. She is short hair but she looks like a seal lynx. My first ragdoll was a seal lynx mitted, she was beautiful, I miss her! If yours just turned 1, you still have a lot of growing to do on them. My first one, didn't finish changing color & size till about 4 years old. Between 2-4 she doubled in size, grew a big lion looking mane, and turned a pale chocolate color.Anyway hehehe.. I have several co-workers and friends that live in Decatur.

What support group do you go to? I didn't know there was one anywhere around here for banders.

School is fantastic.. I'm finally done FOREVER!! Yay )

And I ended up passing that one class that I had issues with. With a B! I was shocked. How are things in GA?

Hey girl, thank you! I have been kind of MIA lately, I am in my last semester in college and for the first time ever flunking a class, with 3 weeks to go.. so I have been spending a LOT of time with school work, and we're getting into our rush season at work.. so, I've only been popping into my monthly group to post (and not even often). I'll be back to all over the place in about a month when I'm done with college!! )

Hi Holly! I can't speak for everyone (believe you me), but for the first year.. I did NOT work out and I lost 100lbs. I think it depends on genetics, age, diet, how much you have to lose, etc. etc.

I don't eat super healthy.. I eat about normal, but I avoid fast food now. And I eat small quantities. Good luck on your surgery, thank you for the kind words, and if you want more info you can check out my blog, there's a lot more detail from start.. to now )
