  1. I agree what the others have told you and I wish you all the best. My question is, have you continued with your support meeting, either here or somewhere else? I think we could really help you, supporting you here and I hope you stick around . Good Luck!
  2. Nerves are a normal phase to LBS. There'd be something wrong with you, if you weren't a little nervous about the changes you're about to face. Just know, its worth it! Try to keep your mind on the knew and improved, healthier you. About cleaning out closets and drawers dozens of times ( think I've done that approx 7times now). Keep your mind on the positive!
  3. Sorry bout that, but glad I am not alone.
  4. Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here. This journey is easier with support and it actually makes it easier to be supportive too. Will be happy to watch your success. Best wishes
  5. He sounds like a keeper, Steph. Might want to tell him about the weight loss and libido thread.lol Glad they have your back. I'm also excited you are sharing your journey with us. Best wishes on your pre-op diet.
  6. Anynway to re enforce the nest? b/c if it does fall, it is your fault, no doubt.
  7. Yes, call your Dr. There is a possiblity you have a slip. Anytime your throat or esophugus burns, is not a good sign. Acid erosion can be serious.
  8. Couldn't have said it any better or to the point as Missy. The tool is our helper. If I didn't have it, I woukd have given up on my diet, yet again.
  9. <----- LOL, still waiting. Maybe 56yo is over the hill.
  10. Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you had a busy life since being banded.lol How's your mom doing with her band? You are right when you say, you have to do the work. The band is only a tool that we have to learn to use properly. Congratulations on getting back in game. Wish you all the best. Stick around, they say that ppl that stay with a support group, does better then thise who go it alone. Invite mom to join us too.
  11. I had thoughts just like you, before banding. Like you, didn't want good parts cut up. LB can be reversed. As far as longevity of band, trusting God, all I can do. 100 times yes, I would do it again in a heart beat. Only wish I could have had it when I was younger. Really enjoying it now!
  12. Gotcha covered friend! Try not to think about "what ifs", think about "the new healthier me". woohoo!
  13. BTW, great blog and I hope those having trouble, take the time to read it.
  14. Sounds like you had an epiphany. You go girl! You can do this. You have identified where your problems are and are beginning to work on them. So proud of you!
  15. Sounds like your sinus drainage has caused tightness in your band. You're doing the right thing, by calling your Dr. You might need a slight unfill. Good luck, keep us posted
  16. A quote from the pros " it takes along time for our heads to catch up to our bodies". So what you're feeling is normal. All I can say is WTG! You're doing great.
  17. The first 48hrs is the worst. Every day after that gets better and better.I did think that the port was going to stay tender for as long as I was banded, was very bummed. It took the full 6wks for the tenderness to go away. Thanks to great friends here, they kept me reassured.
  18. Tell Mr K I need to speak with him.Meet me tonight in our regular spot.lol
  19. Constant rash and odor from sweat in skin folds.
  20. On my horse? If we went parachuting, you'd push me out of the plane without my chute.j/s
  21. I pray for the day you stop judging yourself. You is kind, you is smart, you is important(especially to me). God don't make junk!
  22. WTG! My bucket list only has things like going horseback riding.lol
  23. I too, trust God and like I told my daughter when she decided to sell her house. " If its meant to be, it will be done with no real effort from you". Her house was sold to the first person who walked into it. She found the house of her dreams totally by accident. Its between you and God, not your family members. I pray God will make it totally obvious on what you should do. Love ya sista!
  24. You're doing great, Congrats!
