  1. Mini, Love your profile picture. You one hot momma! Sounds like you take after your cmom, when it comes to sleep and lack there of. I actually have had the thought lately, while driving, I shouldn't be driving, I am tired. Today while I was driving a huge UHaul truck today, stay alert, don't hit anyone. lol(not)
  2. Ange & Evan in there new home. God was good and between a few tornado's and rain squals, everytime the truck was loaded and unloaded it only drizzled. Also Evans uncle came with his grown kids and that made it really easy for me. The weather also kept the temp in the mid 70's. As I said, "God is good". Right now it is only drizzling and the wind has died down, but my garden is flooded.
  3. btw, I almost had full blown cancer, b/c of not going to the dr due to embarrassment and shame. Luckily, it had not spread and was abke to have it removed with no chemo.Dr said " I don't know what made you come in, but you're lucky you did".
  4. Dawn, you have a very smart twin, b/c I agree with her. In the past, I would go yrs without seeing a Dr b/c of shame and embarrassment. When I was really having a problem, I would go to walk in clinics, instead of my pcp. It wasn't until I finally bit the bullet and faced my fears. I can understand the money thing too, but if you can make monthly payments, I would do it. This is a minor set back. You have had a lot of stress recently. I think we can all admit, that we all eat out of stress. So no shame there. I have no doubt that now things are being settle, you will get back in gear and do wonderfully. Ericka is going to come home and say "wow mom, you look great".
  5. Good morning ladies, Just a quick hello before getting that UHaul started. Diane, I'm glad you called yoir brothers and told them how it was going to be. You do have to save your mom from herself. I think you look marvelous, but like Dee, I can see how they would think you might look thin. My mom has worn glasses my whole life, she had her eyes fixed and doesn't need glasses anymore, so when I see her with no glasses, I think she's sick (only time without glasses. Now Ange is trying to conserve her contacts and is wearing glasses, she looks sick b/c its the only time she wears glasses. Go figure, our brains are slow to catch up. Plus your family propably doesn't see you eating much, so they presume that you're not. I think your food log looks great! Carole, I'll be glad when you see your new Dr. I pray he is great and can help you figure out whats going on. Have you got use to the idea that Jack is not on vacation and is there for the long haul now? I'll talk to the rest of you later. SIL is ready to move. Love you all!
  6. Dee, it sounds like cj has learned how to control ppl, like maddy. For along time she was doing the same thing and it finally dawned on us, that it was akways on her dads day off. It got to the point that the nurse would call and say "is her daddy home today?" She's the boy who cried wolf.lol Only moving today, was packing all their things at my house. Tomorrow is the big move of all the furniture and housewares. Pray for no heavy rain, thanks!
  7. You know what she's laughing about? They were telling her how her brother threw up in the van. For some strange reason, she thinks others discomforts are hilarious. We think it b/c whenever bad things were happening to her, we were trying to make her laugh. She's always laughing and smiling.
  8. I'm so happy everyone is here. Maddy's picture says how I'm feeling.
  9. LOL, You know what they say "you're as old as you feel", lately I've been feeling 35-40yo. Just realized today, I have not worn shorts in years and thats all I have been wearing lately. I never thought that would happen. Makes me feel young again. When I came out of my room yesterday, ange said "you lookin skinny today". "looking skinny", really??? Carole, I can't wait to see your new kitchen. HGTV & DIY are my favorite channels to watch. Watching House Hunters right now.lol Things should go well tomorrow. I'm driving the truck and Evan & his uncke doing the heavy lifting. One problem is, I need a step ladder to get into truck.lol Second problem is, we're in the middle of tropical storm Andrea right now. Its directly off our coast at this minute. Hope it just heads north quickly.
  10. YEAH! Alex got Dawn on.
  11. Terri, CG is not mad at me at all. We have an understanding. I respect her decisions, she respects mine. We still talk. I hope you can understand my position too. To me, nothing has changed.
  12. Yeah, got everyone but Dawn. I have to copy paste her and I just got on my PC, so I can do that. Dee, glad you found your way. I haven't her from Terri, will check with her later. I'm really glad we can all be here together . Got a PM from CG this am. First note was, just wanting to remain friends . "I know it puts you in a bad spot with the other (no it doesn't) but its not about sides, its about me being comfortable talking to ppl about my private life, although I am sooooo boring its boring.... am glad you are my friend. If I tread to hard, please let me know." I wrote back, that I would let her know and I want to stay in contact with all of you. I'm glad she understands my position. " to know me, you will find out I am a forever friend, unless you really really hurt me and that would be attacking my family". CG wrote: I want to remain friends with them also (never wanted anyone to get all upset)... I just wanted that group gone as T and whomever could read it and if that pissed someone off, so be it... Not my doing. But that is yall and not me. Have a great day.. I think she's pissed at me, but right now, I don't care and like you all, no room for drama. Life is too short. I will be busy the next two days, moving ange & evan. So don't think I jumped ships.lol Love you and thanks again for your support.
  13. Could it be Gallbladder?
  14. Happy Birthday, Ryan! I know you're a great kid, you have a great mom. God Bless
  15. So glad we're together!!! Carole has joined. Dee having trouble excepting invite. She's trying again tomorrow. I can't send an invite to Dawn, it keeps saying "Member does not exist". I know she does.lol Cawanna watching a movie with hub and joining when on her pc.
  16. Can't be without my friends. You all are a big part of my success.
  17. Anxiety, second guessing your decision and all the other emotions, very normal. Try to keep your eyes on the prize, the new healthier you. Remember Drs and nurses are trained to keep you well. Good luck!
  18. Chapstick, when you wake up in recovery, your lips will be so dry. A pillow for drive home, so seat belt won't rub on incision, loose fitting clothes. For home, broth, sugar free popsicles, SF Jello. Good Luck !

definitely not the easy way out!!! Every day is a new day to start over. Don't beat yourself up. Rome wasn't built in a day, we didn't become over weight in a day and we will not lose the weight in a day. Just don't give up.
  20. Yes, call your Dr. In the mean time, like Steph04 said, try drinking more fluid. I know for a fact that when I get just a little dehydrated, I get terribly dizzy. You might want to take water with you. Just a thought.
  21. I totally agree with you, Sharon! Thanks for the reminder. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family! (((hugs)))
  22. well since we're not doctors and it can be almost anything, I'd suggest calling your Dr. A lot of us suffer from constipation and have to take something to help that, but is that your problem, I don't know???? Also after banding sometimes our stomach can't tolerate things we used to eat. When it comes to our stomachs, our dr is to best one to ask. good luck!
  23. That's it. When a meal doesn't keep you satisfied for at least 3-4 hrs, it might be time for a fill. Since its been a year, it is time to see your Dr. Try increasing your protein, until you see your Dr. That might help between meals.
  24. Can't help you there, but you have come to one of the best support groups here. There's a lot of knowledge, support and inspiration right on this forum. So stick around, until you find what your looking for, in your area. My local support group is a combo Gasrtic bypass and LB and the bypass patients think their way is the only right way, so I quit attending. I have gotten great support here for the last 1yr. I couldn't have had the success I have had with LBT. Best of luck
  25. yes, call your Dr. My Dr said that the incisions have to be completely healed and I don't think 12 days in long enough. You really don't want to get infected.
