  1. For those not on FB, my new machine. I'm in love!
  2. Ah, chicken... Sometimes goes down, sometimes doesn't. Funny, I had the same thing for lunch and as I'm transferring laundry to dry, spitting slime in the nearby toilet. Must either be the weather or the thought of doing laundry while eating chicken. Hope you're feeling better,Mini. I just finished tuna and it went down fine, but I was done with laundry.lol Carole, We have had a twister a day, for 4 days now. Typical FL weather... Terri, One side of binding to hand sew and I'm done with babies first quilt. Love, love, love my new machine!!!! It's crazy b/c I keep wanting to use knee lift as the pedal. I haven't had a knee pedal in over 40yrs. I was watching a Fons & Porter show and they had Jen, from Missouri Quilt Co. and she had never used a machine like ours and she kept doing the same thing as me, so I didn't feel soooo stupid. Di,Dawn,Dee & Nicole, I hope you all had a good day. I will miss you guys this weekend. Anyone want to head to Pensecola Beach, you'll find me there. TTYL
  3. Love the picture, Terri, beautiful. Thank you! Michelle, wow, what a great deal. Congratulations! Makes laundry better, when you like your machine. I got a Speed Queen last year and I love that machine. Speaking of which, I have to get my laundry done today. By this time tomorrow, I'll be at the airport by this time tomorrow. I hate to fly.....I like the idea of being able to pull over if you have a problem. Everyone have a good day!
  4. Glad you had a wonderful time, Di. I knew you would. Yes, we do all need to get together. I'm anxious to hear about Carole's Drs visit. To cheer myself, I had shopping and grandkid therapy. Then a visit from Ange. Can't wait for pictures.
  5. Not even out of bed yet, well have been and just layed back down. I'm very teary eyed. Today seems to be one of those bitter sweet days. First, tears of joy for our girls who get to meet. So happy for them, it makes me cry. Happy Jack and Franc have time together too. Crying for the pain Carole must be going through, sending Seth off. We will continue to be praying for his safe return home. Crying for my sil, Evan. His grandmother past last night. She was a very sweet lady, who loved my daughter very much. She was in her nineties, so she had a good long life and she deserves her rest now, but her loving kindness will be missed. She and Evans grandpa were a big part in his life. His father walked out on his family at a very young age and it was his grandparents that picked up the pieces. It was Evans grandfather who made Evan the man he is today. Now grandma and grandpa are reunited. Makes me think of the hymn- God has not promised skies always blue, Flower strewn pathways all our lives through. God hath not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day, rest for the labor, light for the way. May you all have a wonderful day. Know that I love and pray for each one of you.
  6. I watched Dr Nancy Sniderman on the Today Show discussing the impact this will have and the major impact is that all insurance companies will have to start recognizing it. I'm guessing there still will be a lot of ignorant ppl discriminating against obese ppl. After all, you can't fix stupid.
  7. Missy is right. I have consistently been able to lose weight, but not until I had enough restriction , did the hunger become manageable. Before restriction, just another diet. After restriction, not really a diet.
  8. We will be waiting patiently (not) for pictures. But as I remember Carole and my lunch dates, pictures were hours in coming.lol I didn't want to say goodbye. You all have a great time!
  9. btw, last year grandma couldn't do this. wasn't able to walk from the parking lot to the beach.Woohoo!
  10. ok, I didn't stay home. But you can't get in trouble taking your grands to the beach. Making memories!
  11. I feel your frustration, Di. It has happened to me a number of times. How far does everyone have to travel to meet tomorrow? Prayers for safe travels. I'll be home all day today. Got into enough trouble yesterday. Everyone have a great day. TTYL
  12. Also had my nails done today Today we found out Sherwin Williams was putting us up at The Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front, very nice.....
  13. Dawn, Glad you are making an appt. No sense having a band, if its not helping you. I know what you're saying about the deductible. But its worth making payments if that can be arranged. Yes, I'm very proud of my c grandkids and my c daughter too. You've done a great job, single mom. Sharpie is on the forum and she always makes great sense. I liked her before I found out she was from FL. Mini, So sorry this is a sad day of remembrance. I'm with you about the rain, the sky is crying b/c of your loss. Nicole, How was your day? What was on your lunch plan? Dee, Always good to hear from you. Really sorry about the butthead taking your money. He will get his, one day. Carole, Thoughts and prayers for the strength you need on your visit with Seth. Glad Jay can be there too. Di, Cajun turkey sounds good.lol I know when you make a pledge, you will do it. I still jealous about Wednesday, but I'm working on it. Terri, Its all your fault. You encouranged me to get back to quilting. Went to Joanns, just to look around and they were having a great sale . Got yardage from $1.50 -3.00 a yard.
  14. Anyone watch Nick Wallenda cross the Grand Canyon? Talk about a band tighting up over stress and I was just watching.
  15. Good Monday Morning! Mini, good luck on exams. Terri, don't encourage me, lol. I never met a fabric I did not like. Carole, proud of you getting those steps in. Dawn, Hope you have a great day at work. Praying for strength in resisting the office "crap" aka chocolate. I love chocolate and I'd probably have to quit my job, to resist. Nicole, Good luck on your first day back. Dee, Hope you and the kids have a good day. I really don't know how you do things, kids, working, home. Hows the old guy you've been sitting with, is that an all nighter? Di, I presume you're at work today, have a good one. I'm very excited your date with Carole & Terri is in a couple days. I know you are going to have a very good time. My trip to Pensacola is this weekend. If all goes right, will have a room right on the beach. I sure wish someone was close to Pensacola:*(
  16. Di gave me an idea. I went back to our tickers and we have lost approx. 686.40 lbs. WTG girls! Love being in this club!
  17. Woohoo is right! In my mind, I'm doing back flips. Congratulations and welcome to the club!
  18. Lol, thats me chewing a Tylenol, when I have no other choice...
  19. I was just thinking of you in the middle of the night last night. Thought, I need to send her a pm and find out whats going on. God always hears our thoughts and prayers.lol Here you are! Glad you're doing well . Congratulations on making goal and being an inspiration (in more ways than one) to the rest of us. You Rock, and stand on the rock! Love you GF!
  20. Good morning ladies, I had a really good nights sleep last night, even with my 1hr nap last evening.lol Need to spray on the mosquito repellent and Water my garden. Weatherman keeps calling for rain everyday, but not getting it. Today is another good chance, but poor plants are all shriveled, they can't take another hot FL day, without water. I think the laundry soap stopped the breeding, but dealing with what was already hatched. Don't like using insecticide, afraid of killing caterpillars and butterflies. Dawn, I am so excited for Erika. This experience will stay with her the rest of her life. LOL, I can't even tell you what I had eaten in Africa, but it was made by executive chefs and excellent. Gained 15 lbs, they eat every 2hrs., whether you're on safari or not. Carole, good thing you two didn't get pulled over by the police. I can see you both on the side of the road, doing a sobriety test.lol Sounds like they will be beautiful. I wonder where I can find some around here? Will google. Di, Sorry about your sad. I'd be sad too, like I was when Evan and Ange moved into their new house. Lol they are only 30mins away. And poor Carole having her family so far away now and son going to Afghanistan. Please give her a BIG HUG from me, when you meet. It is what it is and we must be greatful we get them when we can. Going to the zoo with grandkids had to be a blast. Have to go looking for pictures, I didn't see. Terri, thank you for your input. I will definitely check it out. Ange has already claimed any and all quilts I make. She says, I couldn't possibly run out of having too many quilts. She is like her momma "loves quilts". Do you do Pinterest? I have hundreds of pins of quilts, blocks, tutorials, , templates etc.... Ask Nicole, she pins funny stuff and good recipes. Nicole, best of luck at work tomorrow. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone notices anything. If they don't, no big deal. I had to be down 30lbs before anyone noticed anything. Happy pinning, lol. I love your stuff. Sorry I only pin boring stuff. Michele, whatcha wearing to work tomorrow? lol Prayers for acing your exams. Hope you have a relaxing Sunday. Dee, Hope everything is well with you and the family. Whats the plans after church today? Hows CJ? I forgot to tell you all, I am making plans to meet Sharpie, next time I go to Gainesville. She lives 45mins north of there. She has horses and thats on my bucket list, to ride a horse. She's 10yrs older than me and if she can ride a horse, why can't I. After all, I can ride a Harley, I know how to hang on.lol
  21. Everyone is different when it comes to fills. Some never need a fill, they have restriction from the get go. Others could get the restriction with any number of fills. Like I stated, it took 4 fills for me. First one was 6wks out, month later my port flipped so had revision surgery and fill at that time, that was 3mths post op, 6wks later a fill and a month later another fill , which hit the spot, 7mths post op. By following my Drs diet, I continued to lose throughout. Now its just easier. I like that my Dr is conservative and I never have had to go back for an unfill. Don't get discourage on the time it could take.
  22. I agree with everything everyone has said. I only wanted to add, that until you get enough fills, it will be just another diet. It took 4 fills for me. When you're hungry and meal time is over, drink your fluids.
  23. I totally agree with TheB. I weigh first thing every morning.
  24. After my surgery, I did have sore muscles and after watching the surgery done on Youtube, I understand why. The Drs spread your legs wide, so they can work from between your legs. If you're waking up with muscle cramps, I would have to agree with Potassium depletion, more fluids.
  25. I don't think it was so much "greasy" foods. Probably more how you ate the fries, two big of bite, not chewing enough, or you just can't tolerate your potatoes that way. Whenever I have eaten a fry or two, I have to take very small bites, chew it really good and wait a minute between bites.
