  1. Wow this is a tough one how about: I am on medication and can't eat that I feel a little sickly push the food around your plate ask if you can bring anything(you have certain dietary restrictions) Sometimes people don't really notice that you are not eating, maybe we make more of a deal about it then they will.
  2. I can definitely empathize with you. I am taking yazmin and this month I had exactly what you described. Normally I have nothing no PMS at all and a very light if any flow. I too am pissed off as I don't like this and am done with my periods. All I can say is I hear your pain.....................what to do.
  3. I didn't feel mine coming out at all. The benefit of having one is that they can do a leak test with it in to make sure there are no leaks.
  4. It must be in your head and old habits trying to sneak back in. Shake them lose and banish them for good. You can do this!! You don't need chocolate and snacks!!!! You ride the wave sister!!
  5. I don't recall that it said you could have a big dinner. I was on clear liquids the day before; breakfast was light, then clear liquids the rest of the day. Maybe you should double check with your coordinator.
  6. I eat only pureed protein: eggs cottage cheese tuna salmon canned chicken, turkey, ham adding a laughing cow cheese to any of these is delicious.
  7. My doctors is a guide, saying that you could be on the pureed stage for 4 weeks. So just be careful with your soft. Pureeing food makes it easier to tolerate and may cause less trouble. So just because it is on the doctors list does not mean that you can have it as you found out. Just go slow and experiment a little a try pureed it really is good.
  8. First of all no crackers, chips get these out of your house! Follow the diet plan from your doctor. I am on day 28 and am still on pureed. I only eat things with protein in them so I can get 60-80 grams a day. I drink lots of water. I also am currently in a stall they say that this happens to most. You will start losing weight again, hang in there you have not failed, just be patient and the weight will continue to fall off.
  9. Mac and Cheese......................................
  10. I did request a wheel chair. You don't know how you will be feeling so why push it. No need to be a martyr. I had help loading my suitcase into the ovehead. I take a motion sickness pill for flying so I had no sickness issues.
  11. I too am in a stall I am in day 28. It is frustrating because you want to keep seeing the numbers come down. I am going to keep doing what I am doing and I know the weight will follow.
  12. I just came back from Mexico in September. Regulations state that you do NOT need a passport. Going over they don't stop you it is coming back that they do. Contact your coordinator for specifics.
  13. It sounds to me like you are rushing your food choices. I am 27 days post op and still on pureed. No bananas no peanut butter. I am following my doctors food guide. i don't eat any meats unless canned and then I puree. I don't feel at all ready to progress out of this stage. Listen to your body, you will have the rest of your life to reintroduce the foods that you wish. Take your time, drink your water, and make safe food choices. Hang in there, you can do this.
  14. If only losing too much weight could be my worry!
  15. At 19 days still on pureed. If you are on solid go ahead as others have suggested. If not try for mushy type of foods; cottage cheese, soup, mashed potatoes.
  16. If you look in the main forums there is a topic self pay in mexico. You will find a plethera of information there.
  17. I guess it depends if you are watching your carbs. Yes both have lots of protein and carbs. I have not tried refried beans as they are very thick and I am not sure that I can handle them right now. Based on carb quantity though I don't think I will. You can also have thinned out cream of wheat and oatmeal but again I look for only foods with a good amount of protein. Make sure you take your biotin, B12 and multi vitamin everyday!
  18. Eating every 3 hours is a good thing. Weight, measure all of your food. Track what amount of calories you are consuming. I eat 6 very small "meals" a day and drink water in between, yes you are always putting something in your mouth! I find the more protein the better. I don't eat anything that doesn't have protein in it; no mashed potatoes, no jello, no pudding. One poster mentioned fruit for carbs. Fruit is very high in sugars, veggies have lots of fiber and carbs and are better for you. When you talk about the full feeling, listen to your body, do you burp, hiccup, feel full in your tummy area; these can be signs that you have had enough. Then eat again in 3 hours, this is the way to do it!
  19. If you are going to Mexico for your surgery you don't need a passport.
  20. You will probably very rarely feel hungry. You need to eat but most importantly you need to ensure you are drinking enough water sip, sip, sip continually throughout the day.
  21. If she is on pureed: cottage cheese thicker soups(any kind) chicken tuna any canned meats eggs(delicious with a laughing cow cheese mixed in) there are so many things you can puree but try to remember to have something with protein. Mashed potatoes don't.
  22. Liz I did not DOG your quotes so please do not be disrespectful to me. God did not create this surgery but the people who did. As you say we are all entitled to an opinion so why do you say that I shouldn't have mine. A sign is one thing but saying that this is not what GOD intended is what I believe is not correct. God gave us all life so that we may live it in our own way. Getting surgery is the WAY for us.
  23. Let's see in "GOD'S TIME" we also were not: healing supposedly incurable diseases Removing limbs for various reason transplanting body parts Oh my God is she serious? I think you need to tell her to get a grip and live in this century. This is not a God issue. Leave God out of it.
  24. No don't eat everything. You have spent your whole life eating everything, that is why you are here. Have a FUNERAL by just saying goodbye and good ridance; you don't have to eat it.
