  1. I agree tuna is not normally 8 oz. I believe minus the water it is more like 4 as I have actually weighed a half a can of tuna. Eat slow put your fork down between each small bite. I have learned this with the band. It will become such a habit one you do it enough. You will then realize how fast others devour their food, its crazy.
  2. watched the video, the stomach portion removed is huge! Someone said that it was small, no way.
  3. I think that you must be mistaken. If you are having Protein shakes then you are on full liquids that can include: shakes puddings Jello yogurt strained Soups thin soupy cereals
  4. I am going to Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Fernando Garcia on September 10
  5. Take miralax everyday it works wonders!
  6. yes only 8 years, you want to waste the rest of your life with this loser?
  7. Oh yes this is possible, I have also just by dieting lost 10 pounds in 3 days.
  8. Some one mentioned here to use peppermint oil to take a little sniff to help with nausea. I am going to get a bottle myself as I prepare for surgery.
  9. Thank you so much good luck to you!
  10. Oh how fantastic!! that's 11.9 pounds you will never see again, great job keep it!! My surgery is September 10 it is day ONE for me!
  11. I agree, think about your healing stomach, it has just had 85% of it excised! You need to let it heal. You can't be hungry drink your broth, lots of liquids and come here for support.
  12. Well here goes! I start my 9 day pre-op diet today. Doc asked for 7 but I can do nine. Surgery is on the 10th in Mexico. I am a revision so I think I am prepared and ready for this new journey. I have found so much support here that is invaluable to me. I look forward to continuing posting here for ideas, suggestions and a good laugh now and then!! Pray for me
  13. I have had a tummy tuck and a breast lift, and it is fabulous. There is not much pain as skin removal they say is not that painful like having your body cut through. I did not use any pain killers with either surgery, go figure. I would definitely do it again and look forward to an arm and thigh lift. Go for it you deserve it!!
  14. Hello, I too am in Canada, Windsor Ontario, and am flying out of Detroit. Can you tell me how you felt on your flight home? Were you nauseous at all? I am getting sleeved on sept 10 and wondered how I will feel on the long flight back. thanks
  15. cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, pudding all have protein in it but it can be alot of dairy
  16. ice cream, milkshakes, potato chips, chocolate
  17. Thank you for candidness and baring it all. I too feel the same way for many things. I am getting a revision I wonder how it will be for me.
  18. I agree with everything said here. I am going to have a revision from lapband to sleeve. The maintenance is not fun sometimes you can't get the right restriction: either to tight or too loose. I would have never have gotten the lapband if the sleeve was available 5 years ago. IMHO go with the sleeve, my revision is September 10.............
  19. Yes I agree you shouldn't be having a milkshake not on the plan and very high in calories, sugar and fat!
  20. Whoa are you sure she said 150 grams of carbs? That is way too many to be a low carb, high protein diet. Protein should be 60 grams or more. Review your guidelines that you must have received. Don't mess with this, you are in this to lose weight not do what your friends say or have done. Be a leader for yourself!
  21. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. There is a reason why you need to follow the eating plan set out by your NUT. Slow down, you will have lots of time, the rest of your life to eat with your family!!
  22. I have my surgery scheduled for sept 10 and I want to thank you all for your wonderful posts. I feel much more comfortable now in my decision but I am not fooled to think that it will be an easy journey. As the day approaches I am more eager to start my "new" life. thanks everyone!
  23. Yes they will do it in one surgery.
  24. Not dumping but maybe your body can not tolerate alcohol.
