  1. Hello all! I am 6 months post up and down 126! Here are some before and after pics!
  2. Janette - I don't stress about it! I just follow my doctors guidelines and let it happen. I'm still not eating alot, trying to get my protein, and really sucking at getting my fluids. But I have not once gotten sick or had complications. A typical day for me is either a bananas or bowl of Special K protein plus for breakfast. Lunch is usually a Greek yogurt. Dinner is usually shredded chicken or pork or turkey meatballs and a little big of veggie or fruit.
  3. I am a little over 3 months post op and down 85 pounds. I chose to save my own life and I'm so thrilled that I did! I've added years to my life and life to my years. If you are questioning whether or not to have this surgery, think of how much your life is worth. Time is precious - the longer you wait, the more time you are losing. Here are some pics of my journey.
  4. Hey julyers!! I am a little over 3 months post op and I am down 85 pounds! I am soooo happy I made the decision to change my life forever! Here are some pics of my progress!
  5. I am 3 months out and 85 pounds down!!!
  6. Worst shape: I'm an apple. NO boobs, NO ass, it's all in the tummy. But thankfully that is changing now that I've lost 60 pounds since being sleeved July 3! Unfortunately, I will never have boobs or an ass ... But soon I won't have such a big middle!
  7. Hello julyers! I was sleeved July 3rd. Here is an update: Preop weight 315 Surgery day 310 Today 252 I am still not getting enough Protein because I pretty much only eat yogurt, Cereal, and a few fruits. But, I'm feeling great and couldn't be more happy with my progress. I've never once gotten sick... I'm just really turned off by food right now. I'm so happy I chose this surgery... I don't feel like I have an early expiration date anymore!
  8. Can someone define what a "slider" food is??
  9. I'm in the same boat (I literally feel like it). Anything I eat or drink makes me feel bloated. Has anyone tried Metamucil or something similar?
  10. Hey sleevers! I'm looking for some advice! I am 4.5 weeks post op... My first month was awesome! No nauseous, no vomiting, no pain, minimal heartburn. Starting yesterday I have just been feeling off. Very tired, kind of queasy, and totally turned off by all food... As in pretty much not eating anything. Anyone else experience this or know what I should do? I was told I didn't need to take a b-12, but I'm thinking maybe it will help my energy level? Is this true?
  11. Your progress is ridiculous! Congrats!
  12. Hey all! I was sleeved July 3rd and things are going well! I have lost 37 total lbs since my preop diet which started june 18th! Congrats to the rest of you on your successes!
  13. Lay on your left side and raise your right leg up to your chest!
  14. Hey sleevers! Who has experience with chia seeds or powdered Peanut Butter? Benefits? Uses? recipes? Thanks!
  15. 3rd grade teacher from Ohio here! I told my 2 co-teachers, a few close friends, and my dean! However, nothing stays a secret long at my school so I'm sure everyone will know soon! I'm down 29lbs in all and can't wait to have more energy this school year!!
  16. You look great! And I noticed that you have zero extra skin in your arms... What's your secret???
  17. Hey all! I'm a teacher in Ohio also! I had surgery July 3rd and things are going great!! I'm actually getting a little excited to get back to school - mostly because I'm bored and sick of thinking about what I'm eating and what I'm weighing! I'm also excited to have more energy this year! I have to say... I'm quite surprised at the amount of you who had to self-pay. I thought most teachers had fairly good insurance? I was fortunate enough to have mine covered 100%! I'm very glad too because I would have never been able to get it otherwise!
  18. I'm feeling pretty great for the most part!! No nauseous, little heart burn. How are you?
  19. Hey sleevers! Question for you experts- how will I know if I get a leak? What are the symptoms? I am almost 3 weeks post op and feeling great but I am scared of getting a leak and not knowing it! Any insight is greatly appreciated!!
  20. Sleeved July 3rd: Pre-op weight = 315 Surgery date = 310 Weight today = 287 Long term goal = under 200 by Christmas!
  21. If you haven't tried the Davinci brand syrups yet - I highly suggest you do! They are sugar free fat free - basically free of anything! You can put them in oatmeal, protein drinks, coffee, etc.
  22. Hey everyone! I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself! I was sleeved July 3rd and everything has been going great! I'm on soft foods now and down 26 lbs. The only concern I have is that things are going to well. I've been tolerating everything I have tried so far and it makes me worried that not enough stomach was taken or that I won't be successful at this. Don't get me wrong... I'm grateful that things are going well, just nervous too! Any input would be appreciated!
  23. Excuse the silly question but what is onderland?
  24. Hello all! I'm new here but wanted to share my experience! I was sleeved July 3rd and everything has been going great! I had no nauseous from pain meds at all And no nauseous from any foods! I am currently on soft foods like cottage cheese, string cheese, peaches, mashed potatoes, etc. I am very happy with how everything has gone so far- much better than I expected! 15 days post op and I'm down 26 lbs!
