    Recommendations?

Hi All, I wanted to know for everyone that has already gone thru surgery; what items do you recommend for aftercare? I've heard of Gas-x & heating pads, but, would I need anything else? Trying to get everything organized ahead of time. Any suggestions?

  3. I feel exactly the same way...these past few months have flown by & now it seems like the time until my surgery is both moving too fast and too slow! Very weird feeling.

    October 22 Surgery Date!

I am scheduled for Oct 5th. This is getting very real for me as well. I'm torn between being excited & nervous. So ready to have some time off from work & get this surgery done. I'm too ready to move on to this next chapter. Good luck to us all!

  8. Headed to my Pre-Op appt today. I'm nervous but excited! Wish me luck.

  9. I'm so sorry to hear about this. I understand about not being supported by the people closest to you. This explains why I have only told a few people about my decision. I knew going into this that one of my closest friends would have a issue. She is about 100lbs heavier than me & even though she says happy being this way; its not true. Her health is starting to declining as a result of her weight. My advice is to listen to your heart. If you have given this decision serious & have researched it thoroughly then don't let anything stop you. My oldest friend died at the age of 37 because of weight diseases. The lesson I've learned from her death is that you truly only have one life to live. When its over; its over...so why not make it the best possible life you can.

  12. I have BCBS & it took about a week. My patient advocate told me to wait a week from my last appointment & then give the insurance co a call. She said this will keep me in their "radar". Thank God it worked!

    Crazy Skinny Goals!

Love the seeing your vajay comment. Hilarious! Personally, I can't wait to not be in pain from being too big. Or, sweating & breathing heavily going up or down the stairs. To get my period back on track once again.

    Second Guessing My Decision....normal?

Thank you to everyone that commented. I have only told 3 people about the surgery because I didn't want to hear negative comments. I think I was having a slight freak out ! I just don't want to fail; I've been on soooo many diets and never stuck to any of them. This site has helped me tremendously...thank you for the encouragement!

    Recovery Time???

Hi Everyone, It's getting close to my surgery date & even though I am very excited; I am starting to get a little nervous. I am more concerned about after the surgery....how quickly I'll "bounce back". On average, what is the recovery time? How soon can you return to work?
