    Frozen Banana "ice Cream"

I watched that one crash and burn :-) Then everyone made up. I was cracking up actually......

    Frozen Banana "ice Cream"

This is recipe sharing part of the forum. If you don't like the recipe passover it. It may not be for you and 10 others, but there may be 100 others that really like it. If I see a post that a) I can not relate to because it is dealing with something post op or b)something I just can not answer I pass over. This is the second controversal post I have seen in the last few days. It's not like she recommended a M&M shake recipe. I think people need to keep each forum in prespective and respect it for what it is.

    Monday I'm Done!

I went to a lapband seminar about 2 years ago that Dr. Halmi gave. They all seemed very nice. He did a bypass for someone I know, over 10 years ago. Good luck to you all.

    Bcbs

That so sucks Aaron! I know that BCBS differs from state to state, but I had no idea that they didn't cover it in some states. I am interested to see the responses. I have Federal, but no preapproval needed since we live abroad. Interesting I know.....
  7. Congratulations!! I hope to be an August sleever. Good luck on your surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

Goal Weight. - How You Get The Number?

I am 5'6 and have my goal set at 160lbs. I haven't spoken the doctor about it yet. That is still considered overweight for my height. Since i have been obese since I was 6 YOA, it is hard to see anything less. I know what the charts say, but when you been fat all your life it is hard to see anything else.
  9. I haven't posted on this thread, but it sure is entertaining to read.... I have not had surgery; therefore can not comment. I would like to be able to say I will NEVER EVER again, but that would be jixing myself. I would not call my self a diet soda addict, but I do enjoy my occasional coke zero and it is really good with hennessey. So if you see my name down as reading this topic, it is because you guys are entertaining.

    Had Endoscopy On Friday

Thanks! I have mine on Monday. I am actually having two procedures. Some type of fat density, total body ultrasound. I am kinda worried because it is after the endoscopy and I hope I feel up to it!

    Dr. Nicholson Waist Binder?

Found this online: Functions An abdominal binder serves many important functions, especially in the early postoperative stages of an abdominal surgical procedure. An abdominal binder provides compression and support to both the upper and lower abdomen. It helps to improve blood circulation and oxygen levels at the operative site, increases healing and reduces swelling. With all these improvements, the patient is able to get out of bed sooner and walk around more easily. This further improves breathing and promotes the healing process and a speedy recovery.

    You look great!!! Congratulations.
  14. Wow, congratulations. You look fabulous!
  15. I haven't had surgery yet and have read several posts regarding the stall. It seems that everyone experiences it for the most part. I hope that I will not freak out but, I am expecting my mind to play a trick on me. Why? Because I read about it everyday. I know that a stall is possible because so many people on these boards talk about it. However, the other part of my mind will tell me, I just went through this major surgery and I am only drinking and/or only eat baby food consistency food, why am I suddenly not losing weight? But, my logical brain will tell me that EVERYONE goes through this, give it time. I guess emotions and everything plays into this. I have not read to many posts of someone saying they stalled and never lost another pound. I say Celebrate your successes and read some of the other experiences on this boards. I think it will help. Again, this is me pre-op. You will be back in a month sharing your NSVs and you SVs. Wishing you the best! Also, I have only seen several posts of people regretting their decisions. I am sure you researched and thought long and hard prior to your decision. Congratulations on making this step.
  16. I am moving to the next step; endoscopy Monday morning.

    No Support:(

It is sad to hear when a husband is nonsupportive. Have you done your intial consult? Is he willing to go with you? Maybe he is scared of the unknown? Is your husband a healthy weight?
  18. Someone one another thread posted she was having hemorrhoid surgery LMFAO! I love that, although I don't think you should have to make up a lie. One of my previous HS BFF's lied to us and told us she had stomach cancer. It really ruined friendships. I have to tell you she ended up with thyroid cancer later. Karma is a ******! I just say it is Nunya. Nunya damn business!
  19. I am in the same boat!!! I never thought I could dislike my husbands mother so much.

Tired Of Waiting......taking A Break From Site...i Think.

I would say that I a VST stalker.....i don't have internet at work, but I make sure to read through the day on my blueberry.....wow, this post hit home. I want to see how everyone is doing, what questions pop up through the day, and I just love looking at photos......ummmm I may need intervention!
  22. I am still confused on why people think their coworkers need to know. I say let them talk. I work in a fish bowl, because we live, work, and sleep in the same place. (you know the saying don't eat where you sh*t) Not literally, but it feels like that is my life at times. I feel like if I was on fire nobody in my job would piss on me. With that being said, they have no right to my business. I just don't see why this is a big issue. MOO-my own opinion. Edit to add- you don't even have to lie to them. I honestly believe it is rude for them to ask. Why spend time trying to make up some mysterious "surgery". Tell them it's classified, if I tell you, I would have to kill you HA!

    Oh Thank God!

Well I have been in nutritional counseling for a year. I lost 19lbs in 7 months . I have been thinking about WLS for about 15 years. I got down to about 203lbs in 2008, but I was busting my butt and eating very little. Anyway, life happened and we moved to a foreign location. That came with stresses, to many to count. I have been over weight my whole life. Tramatic childhood crap.....plus bad genes. Anyway, I am 37 and just ready for a change. I am overseas still and hoping for BCBS to cover. My process is a little different then being in the states, where I don't have to get prior approval. Of course they can still choose not to cover if I don't follow their protocol.
