The other night I had a bite of a friend's non fat frozen yogurt and immediately had what appeared to be an allergic reaction. My throat and esophagus filled with phlegm and I had to run out of the yogurt shop to get rid of it. I don't think it's a dairy issue since I've been eating greek yogurt and non fat milk. Today it happened again with a piece of banana. I'll stay clear of all sugars for the meantime. Has anyone else experienced this?

Has Anyone Not Experienced A Stall In The First 6 Weeks?
thesmilos posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey,everyone! Has anyone not had a three week or early stall? I'm in the middle of week three and while weight loss has slowed down, it hasn't stopped yet (averaging 1/2 pound a day). I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for when it finally does happen. I keep reading about what a downer it is...then I started thinking that maybe there were some that never experience stalls...is that possible? Wishful thinking!??!? As always, I have to say, everyone here has been an a amazing help and inspiration. So glad I heard about this site...you guys ROCK! -
Best of luck to you!

thesmilos replied to brittneyly's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thank you for sharing your story...I can relate to a lot of things you mentioned, especially the "head hunger" and gaining control of your life. I'm only three weeks post op, but can already see the positive changes happening in my life. All the best to you. -
I made them yesterday and have had them for dinner and lunch. I made mine without meat or veggies since I'm still on soft food, but they are the perfect portion size.

Go to www.oa.org and click on "meetings" for meeting times and places in your area. This is from the website: OA is not just about weight loss, weight gain or maintenance, or obesity or diets. It addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is not a religious organization and does not promote any particular diet. OA members differ in many ways, but we are united by our common disease and the solution we have found in the OA program. We practice unity with diversity, and we welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. Welcome to Overeaters Anonymous. Welcome home. Good Luck!

Great article! I've been going to OA for about three months now and it's really helped me discover my triggers and recognize some of the patterns that were not so clear to me before. The fellowship and support is awesome! For me, OA is an integral component of ensuring that my sleeve is a successful tool!

It was day four for me before I pooped! I'm having problems dealing with the liquid prescriptions too and the syringe idea is genius...thank you!
