  1. You Guys are dealing with stuck and I'm dealing with a frigging nasty rash all over my body. Todaydoc put me on puréed soft foods. I refuse any more whey because I think that's it. We will see. Itch itch scratch scratch. Yuck yeeeeouch!!
  2. I was on Clear liquids for 2 weeks post as well. I had 4 staples from the incision on the right side where the stomach was pulled out.
  3. I've been dying to eat refried Beans with melted cheese (after reading posts). Not all that cracked up to be but it's substance. Funny- I made half cup of beans with 1/4 cup cheese. Need my Protein because I refuse to eat any more whey protein powders after this nasty rash. So at my follow up I'm still 14 pounds down all done in the first week - none in second. I'm ok with that. I feel like I've learned so much from these posts and my own research that I kinda know why and what to expect. So thank you veterans of VSG!!! Ummmm - oh they found a bunch of cysts on my ovaries and apparently also a nodule which was biopsied and it did come back abnormal. Oh oh. Gotta see a Gynochologist. I don't have one. Well I do now after her recommendation. Again- not really worried. Thank you all VSG-ers. This has been a wonderful journey. I had some very very minor bumps. I'm doing splendid. They were shocked today that when they pushed on my belly it want tender at all. They also took my staples out. I spazzed over that and they knew I would becuse I'm a freak. I didn't feel a thing! Hahahahahahahahahha. I crack myself up sometimes. Ok- on to finish what I can of these beans and then I must wait 30 minutes to drink. That will take some getting used to. 2 more weeks off of work. Love my doctor! She has been so wonderful!
  4. I'm not Getting my protein in. Not even close.
  5. I've got an itchy rash all over my body and wondered the same thing. Just started prednisone. If its not better then I am done with this whey crap.
  6. I lost around 14 pounds at the 1 week mark and hasn't lost since (it will be 2 weeks we'd). I'm not worried about it. Just think of what we did to our bodies. There is no way you won't lose. Just enjoy the experience and know the goal at the end of the day is restriction. Durin that process our bodies need to learn to adjust
  7. R u on pain meds. My vision was soooooo blurry from them.
  8. I don't regret it biter I admit that I'm jealous of my family who eats good food. I too can drink a lot more Ready- perhaps you really need to concentrate on liquids- clear until u get your 64 in and let your tummy heal and swollenness go down. I do not have those symptoms- never have. Never puked and don't intend to. Xxxxz
  9. The reality is you have to get it out. Everyone has had different experiences. I have had 4 in my lifetime and each were different yet similar. Bottom line is: it's very very quick. It's a weird feeling. Can cause some pain but tolerabl- after all it's a matter of seconds. I'm the worlds biggest baby and this isn't one of those things I would worry about- really
  10. I think Sharing what you just shared is perfect. Let her make the decision after hearing your story and also encouraging her to do her own research as I think that's very important too .
  11. Wow congrats on the weight loss. . Nope - no troubles with hiccups here
  12. I've got a rash all over my chest and back. Freaks me out but I don't know what it is from? Could be anything!
  13. Way to empower yourself! I was quite proud reading this . Time will heal (cliche) - sounds like you know what you want and need!
  14. I was wondering what decaf coffee would do on the belly. Glad I read this
  15. I went to olive garden before pro op. my FAVORITE!! . Go for it
  16. My doc focuses on liquids because with this surgery dehydration is a very high risk. And wouldn't you know- I was re admitted. So because I don't see her until Tuesday she had just said just stay on clears with Protein shake exception. I'm glad I have her . But I do thinknil ready. Not all her patients wait as Long as I have but I think she wants me sip sip sipping
  17. Ya plus I hope she will put me on puréed stage- I'm dying for refried beans and cheese ( in a blender I guess) and cottage cheese
  18. I'm so excited to have tomato soup. Technically I'm suppose to wait to see doc I Tuesday but I think she did that because I was dehydrated. I truly feel ready for full liquids. I'm going crazy. I think it's better than caving to all of cravings right? Normally I wouldn't go against the doc but I think this is ok....
  19. I am just shy of 2 weeks post op. I feel like I can drink more at a time and liquids continue to go down just fine. I'm adding sf jello and tonight tomato soup. Just wondering if that's typical- liquids going in well- not really filling you up? Is this just a sign I'm ready for full liquids?
  20. Is nectar cheaper and where do I get it?
