  1. I did but I had a blood clot during my first pregnancy thus I was on heparin for two years in a row (2 pregnancies). So needless to say- any surgery you are at risk for developing clots. Of course someone like me is going to be a given that I had them but I think for the average person- it's a doctor's preference.
  2. Congrats on the loss NG!!! Yey!!! :-)
  3. Hi pals: Three weeks today so this is the weigh in that I count. Officially down 20.4 pounds since surgery. I know people have lost more but I'm ok with this- I have to be. Hugs to you all!!! Hope everyone is doing ok and those who have been struggling feel better each day! Xxxx
  4. I'm so sorry to hear about the Viking fans. :-) It is beautiful here. This is my favorite time of year and I'll take winter over summer any day
  5. Pretty over there . I like that area. I'm originally from Marinette-
  6. Ooohhh. Not good welcome anyway :)
  7. Are you still in hospital from clots and dehydration? If so- then those fluids would make you gain and you will lose that quickly
  8. I disagree - heating pad works fantastic for soreness an was recommended by my doc an hospital. I wouldn't brig to hospital though- they have nice warm blankets they can lay on you too. However - as far as gas pain- that gas is trapped outside your stomach- not in it thus Gas X won't help that. Yep- focus on after hospital. Take minimal things to hospital. Walking shoes/good gripping slippers so you can walk walk walk.
  9. I think my stall broke- I'm able to eat more now too.
  10. Hang in there. We all heal differently and I'm sure you will feel better in a few weeks. Lean on us on here- we will support you
  11. I enjoyed reading your post. I think I tend to believe the same. I'm 3 weeks post op Tomorrow. I've been having major cravings and after my lunch- I went to get some frozen yogurt. No regrets- didn't sit the best in my yummy but not terrible. I,too, do not believing in depriving myself but also believe eat Protein first and then see how you're feeling. I did that an still wanted it so I got it. Thank you again and congrats on your loss!
  12. So I decided to take a stroll over to Smart Cow frozen yogurt - I have had a terrible sweet craving and nothing is helping. Awesome place. I added three flavors- No sugar added- strawberry; dark choc and cheesecake. Just a tad of each. My whole bill was $2. Haha. I'm anxious to see how my body handles it. I've done so well with eating that treating myself.
  13. Whoops- I just read your post again- looks like the answer is no. :-). Congrats!
  14. Congratulations! Do you exercise at all?
  15. I agree. Gagged. I have two big tubs of it that I'd be happy to part with. I may bring it to my follow up appt do they can give it away. Blech!
