I don't blame you for being emotional. It is exciting to think about the changes to come and your new life. I can't tell you how many times I read posts on here and see photos of people reclaiming their life and it make me tear up. You can feel any way you want to feel.

Congratulations on your loss! I was at a WLS support group meeting last week and there were lots of folks at different stages, and some at goal, and most said that they struggled with seeing the "new you" in the mirror. I bet if you looked with a different set of eyes you could see how far you have come. One member mentioned that the first time she actually saw her progress was when she saw herself in a photo and wasn't expecting it. Like... Who's that? Oh, that is me.

I am dreading this very thing.

After my husband suffered a terrible injury that left him bed ridden for 6 months, I was his sole caregiver. My weight made caring for him very difficult. I also realized that because he was in much better health than I was, that if it had been me that was injured, I would not have the same recovery as he has. Thank he has recovered and learned to walk again and I am now waiting for my insurance approval. We are both blessed and have a new outlook on our days to come. Good luck on your journey.

I was miserable at first as well and couldn't figure out why everyone loved their machines so much. I vowed to use it 30 days before I gave up and used melatonin to help fall asleep.
I would wake up in the beginning around 2am without fail cut the machine off then go back to sleep. Finally I slept longer and longer and now I don't want to be without it.
I use the the nose mask because the pillows sent too much air up my nose at a time but others love them.
So vBulletin dont give up. Keep tryin. I hope it works out for you.

You will do great! I am excited for you!

What a considerate mom you are. I would have struggled with this as well. I also agree with Miss Mac. You sound like the person who is always putting others in front of yourself. You deserve this. I am glad you decided to go on with the surgery. After all, it is best to do it now before the babies are here. By the time they are here, you will be well recovered and able to enjoy them. Your family is so very lucky to have you. ((hugs))
