  1. Hello there Rosario!! I actually have been wondering the same thing!! I also had my surgery on June 28th and have been feeling pretty good with the exception of still having pain around the port area. It does seem like two weeks out is a long time and should have already passed, so am hoping others on here can share if this is true or not. I did call my doctors office yesterday bc I had a little piece of the internal suture pointing out of the skin and asked what to do about it and at the same time asked about the pain. She just said some people have had to go back into surgery bc of placement irritation or after they loose significant weight the placement really bothers them. Not what I wanted to hear from her (granted this was NOT the doctor). But she also said to give it about 4-6 weeks before getting concerned. Also want to add I called the office about the suture bc I saw on here a post of someone else having the same issue and the advice was to use tweezers to pull it out. She said NOT to do that bc it could pull out internal sutures!! She said to soak a pair of nail clippers in some alcolhol and then clip as close to skin as possible. Looking forward to advice/opinions on port pain.........Thanks
