No, I don't think so. If I go alone, I wanna just go there and come straight back. If my Dad goes with me, he may suggest staying and site seeing. But I wouldn't do it alone. Lol

Booked the surgery date: March 8th Just went to the post office and bought my passport card- it should arrive in 6 weeks or so. I sure hope so because that's going to be cutting it close. Lol Now all that's left to do is get the plane tickets and I'm all set! I just hope my income tax is enough to pay a big portion of this surgery, if not, I will have to take out a loan and I hope that I would get approved. If it comes to that, and I don't get approved, I will have to postpone the surgery. How are all the other February/March sleevers coming along? Have you booked your flights and passport yet?

I'm a huge Dr. Pepper addict, and I know it's going to be torture never having this again... Is anyone else struggling with giving this up for good?

Everything has crossed my mind... Getting kidnapped, getting caught in the crossfire of a drug deal gone wrong, bleeding to death on the table after surgery, getting a leak... Those are some of the main worries. Lol

I know what you mean! I'm going to Mexico for mine. I've never been out of the country before and going to Mexico alone is scary enough, plus adding surgery on top of that... I'm terrified.

Surgeon- Dr. Alejandro Lopez Booked through- alighterme coordinator: Janese I have no clue what I weigh right now because I've been avoiding the scale like the plague, but if I had to guess roughly 250ish. And I'm 5'7 I have no desire to be skinny skinny, it wouldn't even bother me to still have a little bit of weight on me. Just gotta get below 200!!! I plan on starting my pre op diet 2 weeks prior to my surgery... I'm scared to death and hope that I'm making the right decision.

I'm a nervous wreck the entire time I'm in the plane... I'm praying, and my eyes are all wide eyed and crazy like. I probably should take a Valium or something before I board lol

4. Bring Purell or other hand sanitizer and request the staff use it or wash their hands. Universal precautions were out the window at this hospital. What I realized is I researched the heck out of my doctor but neglected to research the staff. No handwashing was seen. No gloves were used to draw blood or start IV's. The nurse starting our IV's had a cold but wore no mask and would turn on occasion to sneeze into her armpit. YIKES!!! -these are the healthcare professionals and I'm gonna have to remind them to wash their hands? This worries me. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It really does help a lot

I don't know what else I can do either I'm hoping that getting the sleeve will help with the hunger hormone, plus reduce the size of my stomach and greatly lower my cravings. I'm a Dr Pepper lover, so also getting the sleeve will make me do away with that as well.
