  1. Don't feel bad, I'm still having problems eating too fast too, I wasn't paying attention yesterday at work while I was eating 2 hard boiled eggs for Breakfast and had a slight stuck episode. Fortunately no one was in the bathroom and I was able to keep burping small burps and moving around to get it through, but it wasn't fun. I definitely paid attention to what I was doing after that and I've only had 1 fill. There was a post I just saw last night and someone was talking about an interval timer that may help train us to eat slower, I'm going to look into it, hopefully I can find something that vibrates (can't have noise going off every minute at work ), but this may help. I eat fast and get it done and have always been that way, so it will definitely be an adjustment.
  2. I get it now , thank you! I'll have to give this a try. I was just thinking I'll never get through lunch with 2 minutes devoted to each bite, lol
  3. So you give yourself 1 minute to chew and let it go through your band? Or 1 minute to chew, then 1 more minute before the next bite? I need to work on this eating slower too and am interested. What is this app, where did you get it?
  4. Personally I would get it looked at just in case and before it turned into anything. See if you have a Little Clinic at Krogers or whatever the one is called at Walgreens and you could get it checked out that way over the weekend.
  5. I was told 60 a day also, but I usually get more than that. I journal to keep track.
  6. Hi, so I bought a vitamix as I want to get my veggies and fruits in better and I'm a bandster for life, so I see it as a good investment (helps I got it with monthly payments ), but I was wondering if any fellow bandsters could offer some recipe ideas? Nutritional information would be appreciated with these recipes as well. Or even a suggestion on a smoothie recipe book.
  7. Yay! I hope I do as well as you!
  8. I wish I had your problem , I have a hard time getting my daily fluids in.
  9. E-cigs are awesome, been smoke free since February. You'll love it when you can actually smell how good you smell minus the smoke smell. You will want a cig, but just push through and you'll get through it. I like my ego-c with cartos. I still have to wean off of this eventually, but not till I'm done with my Kona Milkshake and Black Cherry Marshmallow e-juice .
  10. I've noticed more in the shower and on my shirt (mid length hair that I expect to break off here and there, but there's been more lately). Why does this happen?
  11. Good luck, you will do just fine!
  12. Thanks Donna! My favorite way to have them is over easy, so maybe I'll just do that
  13. Thanks for the info and video.
  14. Thanks, good to hear!
  15. Thanks, I'll have to try this!
  16. Normally I eat pretty quickly and I have been watching the size of my bites when eating food and trying to slow down, but what is the reason for watching if you are eating too fast? Why do i need to watch the speed when I'm eating? Maybe this will be more understandable to me in the future as I get more fills, but I don't know if I need to be watching for something or what this is about? Can eating too fast stretch your pouch or something?
  17. Why does everyone get stuck with eggs? I would think this is a moist food and would go down easy. I'm only about a month and 1/2 in, so lots of questions.
  18. Thanks, that sounds kind of scary, but I'll have to learn to live with it.
  19. I thought PB was a productive burp, but this does not sound like a burp, or maybe that's what the "productive" part means, can someone shed some light on what PB is?
  20. Welcome Gerrit! The people on here are great and this website has a wealth of information. I had surgery 09JUL2012 and am on here all of the time for support and information. Good luck!
  21. Sounds good, how much choc flavoring did you add?
  22. Why do the fills sometimes take 2 weeks to take effect? Is it because of swelling after getting a fill and then you really feel what restriction it's really providing (hope that makes sense)?
  23. I second Isopure, the grape and green apple are pretty good. Watch the lemon tea, as it has caffeine and depending on what your instructions are, you may not be able to have this yet. I was told no caffeine for 2 weeks after surgery.
  24. You mentioned cost, as an option if you have a Big Lots near you, you may want to run Zoic drinks by your nutritionist. They are 15 gram protein, 90 calories, and really low in carbs, like 1-2 depending on the flavor, and I'm talking net carbs after you deduct the fiber. I'm in regular food stage now and I still drink these and they are good. They are $5.00/4 pack, but I'm talking prices in Kentucky. They are located in the medicine area of the store. Whey protein makes me sick, but these don't. Just a thought.
