Dimples I was the same way, omg I can't tell you how many days went by I just drank drank drank.. I think I drank the mississippi river! I drank so much I made myself full for a few weeks because I couldn't get anything else in. I was able to get in chicken broth mixed with Protein powder so I would have some protein.

I am doing a lot better with protein now, I am on mushy but deff. not making my quota. I wake up extremely full of thirst. Even after my meal I have to wait to drink and it drives me insane not to drink anything. I just keep myself busy, talk to someone, play games online.

You are still healing, maybe even drink gatorade I swear by that stuff I drank a bottle a day...

I'm 2months postop, and I'm still always thirsty. I drink more water now than ever before in my life. Immediately postop, you're swollen and will feel full faster and longer than a few weeks from now. Drink slowly so you don't swallow air - that hurts! And make sure you get your protein in w/ your liquid diet and plenty of water.

I wish I had your problem :), I have a hard time getting my daily fluids in.

I've dealt with thirst/dry mouth issue due to meds for quite some time. The surgery didn't make it worse biut it didn't make it better either. I just add crystal light/equivelant to my water and it helps satisfy the thirst and deals with the dry mouth.
