Survey: Cheating Wives Shop at Banana Republic, J.Crew

This makes me Laugh... I am in no way a "cheating wife" and I love Banana Republic and J Crew... LMAO!
  3. My Dr also told me the average weight loss was 60% of the excess body weight... So my goal was to be 165lbs, he rounded since my starting weight was 264, that with 100lbs to loose, if I lost 60 within the first year he would consider me a success... He believes people lose the majority of the weight they will lose in the first 18 months post op. Seeing as I have lost about 83lbs in the past 7 months I guess he would consider me a success.. I have lost approx. 83% of my excess weight and I have confidence within the next 9 months I can successfully lose the last 17% and lose 100% of the weight my Dr and Nut suggested I lose!

    Under active thyroid

Dealing with an underactive thyroid is not fun at all... I feel like people with normal functioning thyroids just don't get it... At first my husband couldn't understand why I was feeling so run down and kept telling me to just get more sleep at night... He didn't get that no matter how much sleep I got it just didn't help... Then once he saw the difference in me after I started and got on the right dose of meds it clicked for him... Now when I start to complain about being run down the first thing he asks is "Do you think you need your TSH checked?" You will feel so different after surgery... This has seriously been life changing for me on so many levels... When is your surgery? If you have any more questions feel free to message me! Best of luck to you!!!

    Under active thyroid

I am hypothyroid... I still have to have my thyroid monitored often... Ever 2-3 months... Recently I was noticing a slow down in my weight loss... Which is completely normal after 6 months out, however I was also noticing all of my other hypothyroid symptoms again... I got my TSH checked and my levels were high... My endo increased my synthroid dose and not only am I starting to feel awesome again, my weight loss has picked up again! Just keep getting your levels monitored and if your endo or pcp is not completely on board with your wls find one that is and will support you! Both my endo and PCP are extremely supportive and if I am feeling crappy and I know I need an increase in my Synthroid dose, my endo immediately sends me for bloodwork and we get my dose increased ASAP. I have never been wrong so far about needing an increase in my dose of meds... I start to feel crappy and I know I need my TSH checked and it has always come back as elevated... My biggest piece of advice to you is to listen to your body and make sure your drs listen to you!
  9. I am sure this has been asked a million times but I can't find an answer when I search...So my apologies if this seems like a repeat post... My question is directly to anyone who has been sleeved longer then 5 months... If you have hypothyroidism and take meds, do you find you plateau for a while when you need your meds adjusted?? I have been losing fairly well, however I am noticing lots of signs my Synthroid needs to be upped, such as VERY dry skin, lots of hair loss, heavy irregular period, extreme fatigue, decrease in sex drive, water retention, and cold sensitivity. My weight loss has been pretty steady up until these symptoms started as well so I am thinking I may be in a mock stall that can be attributed to needing an increase in my Synthroid dose... Has anyone experienced this? My eating and exercise hasn't changed at all...

    New swimsuit @ 6 months :)

I wish there was a "love" button! I love love LOVE that bathing suit and you look awesome!!!
  11. I already looked weird before my surgery... I was so un-proportioned... But now my body is starting to proportion out a little better... I am still a size 12 or 14 in my waist and probably a 8 or 10 in my legs... But I have found size 13 Jrs clothes fit me well, I just struggle not finding something too low rise...
  12. Surprisingly enough I really noticed the loss first in my arms and back, also in my legs (I didn't need to lose from there and I was hoping that would be last lol) But I don't have to worry about the dreaded back fat at all anymore which is awesome! My stomach is going away slowly but surely...
  13. I am considered an "apple" my weight loss is going well... I am finally losing from my stomach which is awesome. Pre-Surgery I was a VERY tight 20... probably should have been a 22/24... Now I am a 12/14... It is AWESOME!

    Anyone on thyroid meds

I am on Synthroid... I now take 150mcg daily... I actually recently hit a nasty stall and I had a ton of symptoms for before I was on Synthroid... My Dr had me do some blood work and I was right my TSH was elevated... He increased my dose and I am now starting to feel much better!! And my stall seems to have stopped! I have Hashimoto's so I will really always be on Thyroid meds no matter how much weight I lose...
  15. You feel better after switching to the Armour? I think I am gonna ask about that at my next appointment at the end of July!
  16. So I got a call back from my Endocrinologist... He is upping my Synthroid Dose... I had labs done and my TSH was 8.99 so he is thinking ALL of my symptoms are attributed to my levels being on the high side... I start the new dose of meds on Sat and I am going to give it 4 or 5 weeks for it to work... Hopefully my weight loss starts again.
  17. Its funny you guys mention this... After seeing Lauren Manzo's success with the Lap Band I started looking into WLS... Then after seeing Lisa Lampinelli's success with the sleeve my mind was made up!

    Chubby Girl Mind

I have a difficult time shopping. I LOVE it now, but I always grab the biggest size on the rack... I am constantly bringing XL shirts into the fitting room then asking my husband to find me a smaller size... It is just a habit I have to break, however there is nothing like the feeling of trying on clothing and having things be too big!

    Kangaroo Pouch

Once you figure it out let me know please! LoL... Although I have to say at almost 6 months post-op it has shrunk ALOT! I'd love it if it would just go away and never come back!!
  21. I always thought I was a pretty person… But I guess now maybe I am what other people consider pretty so A LOT of people in my life are making comments and giving me compliments… I understand 70+lbs is a lot of weight I mean it is 2 ½ of my 3 year old and I don’t have that on my anymore. I guess that changes the way my face looks but I still feel like I look like the same person. I feel like I am the same person only smaller… I need to learn to take compliments better. People tell me how great I look and how pretty I am and I get embarrassed and say thank you… But I need to exude more confidence. When people tell me how pretty I am I need to understand that it isn’t that they didn’t think I was pretty before, they just see a different side of me now… Is anyone else having a hard time with the compliments or did you? If you did how did you learn to just accept it?
  22. I have lost a little over 70lbs I have extra skin. I am 27. I have noticed as I work out this is toning up a bit. I have a little bit more that I'd like to lose then I will give it about 6 months to a year to see what shape my skin is in before I decide on plastics.
