  1. For me i didn't tell very many people either but i am completely honest with my children. I have three kids 8,7, and 5. my husband and i sat down and told our kids i was having surgery to help me lose weight. We told them in a simple way what the lapband is and how it works...we answered questions that the asked...i told them that mommy was going to be eatting different from now on. True results gave me a book called "The Lapband Solution" it has pics of the lapband itself and cartoon pictures that were very helpful. I too have not told anyone but my husband and a few family members..i explained to my kids that mommy isn't ready to tell everyone just yet and that they can ask me or my husband questions about the lapband but not to talk to anyone else about it. My kids understood and haven't talked about it with anyone else..they still ask questions and i just answer so that they can understand. I hope this helps!!!! good luck!
  2. I was banded yesterday too!!!! Im so glad that your doing great as well!!!! so far Im pretty good...Im able to walk around my house and that helps a lot with the shoulder pain.
