Thanks guys!!! It made my day....especially when the opposite sex has started to notice. My hubby sees me daily so sometimes he forgets that I need compliments too. Made my Friday!!!!!

food is just fuel now but even so, everyone needs a variety of items so you will eat and get what you need. Tomorrow is 6 weeks post op and I dread trying to eat the same old stuff. Any suggestions? I've tried Emily bites stuff and similar. What are YOU eating??

Doing well still.....I've basically tried most of the foods that I ate before since I haven't had any real issues with the different foods. I went to a different doctor today for something unrelated. I'm 3 weeks post op and down 30 lbs. I wear a size smaller clothes and my blood pressure is 120/60. He peeked at my incisions today and said they look AMAZING!!! He even asked what I had been doing because they look so good....funny the only thing is I've been using the old gold Dial antibacterial soap daily since surgery. How 'bout you?? Everyone else??

I did 10 days of Lenox shots. Just standard with my doc. It wasn't really mentioned before surgery and I wish it would have. Thankfully I had insurance so my copay was $5. Without insurance, it was $1000. Be sure to pinch the injection site....it doesn't burn as much. Good luck!!!

How far out are you? I'm loving the Emily.bites recipes but am cautious about the ground beef. When did you try it??

I took the Bariatric Advtg ones but they were awful. I tried the Centrum liquid and it was horrendous too. I finally gave in and tried the Vita Craves gummies and they are fine. Just chew, chew, chew.....at least I'm still getting them in.
The pulling will subside...it felt like my insides were gonna fall out but I can tell you I went for a 2nd walk and didn't have any pulling whatsoever. Hang in there!!!

I had mine done on July 9th. Believe me, I felt like crap until that Friday - at least. Hang in there - it gets better!!

Creamy chicken Soup, pureed potato soup and creamy Tomato Soup have helped me add variety.Yogurt also works well for me. Hang in there - pretty soon you'll be moving on to the next stage!!

How is everyone doing? It's great to see some other STL people going through the same stuff. Just went for a short walk - trying to get it in before the heat of the day!!!!

Good so far. I felt really bad to at least the first 4-5 days post op. Just went for a 20 minute walk - not fast but got it in. It's so hot in St. Louis that it's hard to get exercise in.
I've had creamy chicken Soup, Tomato & Pasta soup pureed, potato soup pureed, etc. Yogurt works really well for Breakfast for me. I bought some unflavored Protein Powder yesterday to add to Soups and such. Looking forward to some crackers and a little more variety next week.
Still have little energy - definitely tired in the afternoon. Ran some errands yesterday morning and I'm done - no energy left.
How about you?

Me too. Paranoid now though too that it will stop. It's a new feeling.

Mine was on July 9th and the Vitamin is the only thing that I can't take. I bought some liquid Centrum at the store to try. My chewable makes me feel horrible!!! I also read you can try those gummy vitamins - that's my next attempt if the liquid doesn't.work.

I'm good. My first few days of recovery was tough. It happened on 7/9 and I didn't feel so good until Friday. Getting in enough liquid was tough at first. Been busy the last few days with Dr.s appts. so I'm definitely tired today. Took a nap this afternoon.
I'm now on full liquids. Nice to have thicker Soups and such. Tastes are kinda weird though....some flavors aren't as good as they used to be.

Just got mine on 7/9 from Dr. Followell @ My New Self. Love to see other stl people on here!!!!!

Any others that are 5 days post op and not feeling so hot?? Definitely felt better this AM but then started getting gas pains again...anyone else feel crappy???

I was sleeved on July 9th and I am down 104 lbs. Things are going well although I'm at a plateau right now. Certainly doesn't help being the holidays either!!
