  1. I went to the ER and they didn't do much. gave me Phenegren and hydrocodone, which I don't need. But they did give me Protonix, for my indigestion. I'm trying to make arrangements to go to a Bariatric surgeon/Gastrolenterologosit. I know it's nothing to mess around with.
  2. I am contemplating going to the ER today because I don't have a doctor in the Dallas area. I was banded on June 25, 2012 and have lost 100 pounds. For the last few weeks, eating has gotten increasingly more difficult and have been having "refulx" and couging at night. Have also been waking up with indigestion most mornings. I had a hernia repaired when I had my band and it's very frustrating to be having indigestion again. It's also even starting to be uncomfortable to drink. I worried that there is something major going on and I hope that going to the Emergency Room won't be a total waste of time. I need suggestions ASAP
  3. I was banded on June 25, 2012. I've had 3 fills and now have alot of restriction. I still get very hungry at times, then i eat to fast, then I PB then i get aggravated. :-( I've lost about 30 lbs.
  4. I have some restriction and I've only had 2 fills.
  5. I know exactly what you mean. I was beginning to think there was something wrong because I could eat anything. After my second fill, I finally had some things get stuck. I was almost relieved. At least now I know that things are making progress. It looks like some comments you just need to overlook.
  6. I think it's productive burping. Kinda like throwing up, but not really.
  7. I've had two fills. Finally having some restriction. It's really a learning experience to eat slow and take small bites. I'm almost afraid to go for my third fill on the 25th. I don't want it to be a struggle to eat. I still don't get that full feeling very fast. I'm finally starting to lose a little more weight now and I'm happy about that.
  8. How many times have you actually seen Dr. Riley? I'm going for my second fill on Thursday and have only seen him when I got my EGD. not very good follow up from my mentor either.
  9. I go for my second fill on Thursday. I hope I get some type of restriction. I haven't lost anything in the last month and it's very discouraging. Especially since I'm having a very hard time paying for my part of the surgery. :-(
  10. Can someone please tell me what PBing is? I was banded on June25, had my first fill on July 25. Still no restriction. Until I read some if the posts, I thought something was wrong. But now I see that it's normal and also normal to have only list about 8 pounds. I do need to find a support group or person. I'm north of Houston in the Spring, Magnolia area
  11. I'm in the magnolia, woodlands area and would love to meet sometime. I got banded on June25 and just had my first fill on Wednesday.
  12. I just got my first fill and still no restriction. :-(. There is 3.5cc in my band and can tell no difference.
  13. I went for my first fill at TR. in the medical center, Wednesday. My insurance paid for half and the other is self pay. I get free fills for a year. But just for my EGGS they charged the insurance $18,000. That is crazy. I, too, have only seen the doctor once. Not too happy about that.
  14. I go for my first fill tomorrow. Right now I eat most anything. I've lost 15 pounds since my surgery, a month ago.
  15. I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one that's hungry. I had my surgery on 6/25 and I've already been eating soups, etc. The hunger was driving me crazy the first week. I'm thinking at this point, there is no restriction. Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems. I've got an appt. for my first fill on 7/25. I've read alot of horror stories about throwing up, etc. And also about band slippage and stretching the small stomach pouch. I hope this is going to be a little easier than some people make it sound. lol
  16. I had mine on the 25th and I have eaten soft foods with no problem. I kept reading that the first week you shouldn't be hungry. NOT! My stomach was growling and being hungry was making me angry. I've eaten fish, soup, etc. with no problems.
  17. I had my surgery on June 25th. The pain should start to get alot less tomorrow and Monday. I had mine on a Monday and I went back to work on that Friday. My nurse told me the shoulder pain was from the diaphram. I also had the hernia repair.
