Question about Realize Band Fill

My doctor does not put that much in. Maybe that is why I am stuck. I have had 2 fills and only have 3 cc in. I fill a little restriction and that is it. -
I had one fill in April 2 cc, one fill in May 1 cc added and my next appt is June 3. I could tell but a little bit of a difference after the 2nd fill. I have only lost 26 lbs. I have stayed the same for 2 weeks now. It is aggravating. I walk everyday and I am trying to do more at night. I have problems with bread, but that is it. I have a bad problem with munchies at night.

I emailed abby a month ago after she told me to and she never replied back. The nurses never gave a card. Mine was at 8:30. I was back in my room by 11:00. How many fills have you had? I am going in for my 3rd. How many cc do you have?

Flowergurl, I have a question for you!!! Did you get some time of card after your sgy to sign on to Realizeband website? I know I had to get one number from the doctors office ( I lost it!) and then the site says something about a number off of a card we get after our sgy. I never recieved a card.

That is so cool. I must have seen you in the hospital then. I did talk to someone from Jacksonville, but she had just came in from Tokyo. We need a local support group.

Mary, what program did you say you where going thru to help pay for your sgy? My sister had Aetna and they will not approve the sgy. I am trying to find any type of help for her I can.

I work at the VA in NLR and I am a single mom so I have a hard time going to support groups b/c they are so far away. I had my LapBand done on 03/05/08. I would love to meet. 920-5584. If I don't answer just leave a msg and I will call you back. Sometimes I don't hear my phone.

Hey has anyone been able to get prior auth form Federal BC/BS? My doctor will not do the surgery without prior auth. Can anyone recomend a surgeon in Arkansas that will do the surgery without prior auth?

I am bad about visiting the scales everyday. I keep saying I am going to put it away, but I never do!!!

I do not regret it at all. I have not had any problems with my band.

Question About Fills

I was banded on 03/05/08 and I had my second fill this week. I only had 1 cc added, but it has made the biggest difference. I have had to cut down lots on how fast I was eating and how much. I am hoping to meet my first goal of being under 200 lbs by my 30th birthday in June. :thumbup: -

I my name is Amanda and I am form Beebe, AR. I have one son age 9 going on 21. I am a Patient Support Assistant in a mental health clinic at the VA hospital. I was banded on March 5th and I am going in for my 2nd fill today. -
I had my sgy on 03/05/08. I am going in for my 2nd fill tomorrow!

This was what I needed to hear so bad today. I am going in for my second fill tomorrow and I just thought that the doctor would be upset b/c I have only lost a few pounds since last month. I had my band done on 03/05/08 and I have lost around 22 lbs (10 before sgy and 12 since) and I have just stayed the same. I walk everyday. I was proud that I went to the Zoo with my son and did not feel like I was going to die from walking!!:thumbup:

Dr. Baker did my sgy and my insurance paid within a month. I have the Federal BC/BS -
Dr. Baker and his staff were great.

Mine was put in after I was asleep and came out in recovery before I fully woke up. They are not bad.

My doctor used the glue. I didn't have to worry about any of that. I kept the gauze on for two weeks and that was it. -

I had my first fill on 04/04, it has helped alot. I still get the munchies at home at night. Hopefully I will be able to break that habit. -

I know how you feel, but it does get easier. I had mine done on 03/05/08. It is still in the back of my mind all the time. Praying I don't eat the wrong thing or do something really stupid!!! Hopefully soon it will just be natural and I won't even think about it anymore. -
I was banded on 03/05 and I am still sore at times.
