  1. I was self pay and my insurance paid for the pathology fee for my stomach after surgery. They paid for all my blood work. They paid for my cpap machine. They paid for my O2 when I got home from the hospital. And I got a letter of denial saying they wouldn't pay for ANYTHING related to my surgery. Heck the orders came from my bariatric surgeon. :-) I'm not questioning it. I'm staying quiet and saying nothing. After all the crap they put me through, I figure its the least they could do.
  2. Thank you so much for all the positive feed back. Your kind words really mean a lot!
  3. Thank you! People tell me how much better I look, and I smile and say thank you. Because I don't want to be the person who says "yeah I'm still fat". But that is totally how I feel. I hope in time I will see it.
  4. So I am almost the months out and down 49.5lbs. I may make 50 by my three month mark. But dang it I still see a fat chick. I'm almost 1/2 way to goal but I think I still look fat. I'm now in an 11/12 as opposed to a 20w. But I don't see it. Ugh. I know this is a minor issue, but it is starting to really bum me out.
  5. What foods are you eating? Water intake? Grams of protein? Carbs? Calories?
  6. Congrats!! It feels so awesome when you hit that magical number that starts with a 1..
  7. I did and I'm kind of a big deal. :-) LoL!
  8. Good for him. And double kudos for him speaking about it publicly. It takes a lot of courage to have the surgery. Even more to speak about it as someone in the public eye. I'm sure he weighed the pros and cons of each surgery and decided on what was the best personal decision for him. We are very biased about the sleeve. Same with people about the bypass and the band. If you go to the band talk forum, I'm sure you will read so many stories about people who are in love with the band. I hope the band works for him. And if it unfortunately doesn't, I hope he looks at all his surgical options.
  9. Maurice's and NY&Co are my go to. Also black house white barn, gap/banana republic, American eagle, and the loft.
  10. Hiccups are my alarm to let me know its time to eat. Then I hiccup again once I'm "full".
  11. In two and a half months I have gone from 20 in tops & bottoms and 40ddd bra to 13/14 pants, XL tops and 38d bra. When I fold my clothes I think there is no way they will fit me. When I put the clothes on, they fit. And fit well. I want my brain to catch up already lol!!! HW 250 DOS (2/26) 245 Today 198
  12. Wow!! You look amazing!!
  13. For me my new full is feeling satisfied. I no longer feel empty. If I take one bite too many I can feel it almost in the back of my throat. Almost like it is stuck there and if I were to burp it would come back up. I try not to get to that point... But sometimes my eyes and my mind deceive me. That's why I measure. I know at 2.5 months out a 1/3 of a cup of dense protein will get me to the feeling ob being satisfied, but not miserable.
  14. I'm not a vet, sorry. But I thought I would throw out a suggestion... Maybe go to a boutique type store and ask the sales person what shape might look best. Then try three sizes. One a size bigger, the size you think you need, and one smaller. Go with what you feel confident in. When you look in the mirror be honest about how you feel in the clothes. What makes you hold your head higher and stand taller? Don't think about how others will perceive you. Focus on if the clothes make you happy and confident. :-)
  15. hthode Feel free to add me.
  16. I was so shocked and thrilled and surprised to see it this morning!!! It may be 199.8 but dang it, it starts with a 1!!!!
  17. LoL!! I have called them bingo wings for as long as I can remember. I have started some toning. Bingo wings suck. But I'll take them over being obese any day. :-D
  18. Update. I'm down to 202 this morning. 22lbs to reach my 6/21 goal of 180. Fingers crossed I can make it....
  19. Yes. It's the excess skin on the upper arm. :-)
  20. They have arrived. I almost fooled myself into thinking they wouldn't happen to me. I woke up on my 2mo "anniversary" and there they were. Bingo wings.... :-(
  21. I wouldn't advance until your doc gives the go ahead.
  22. Thank you. Hearing other people get the same feeling helps me feel a little more sane. I'm missing fountain soda. That has been eating at me. And Wendy's. But buying clothes from regular stores, tiring my shoes, and not running out of breath going up stairs is so much better.
  23. Here are my 2 month pics. Down 42lbs from dos. Started in 20w pants and 2x shirt. Today 13/14 pants and XL shirt. Highest 250 Dos 245 Today 203 Almost to onederland.
  24. I'm so lucky to have him. He is so supportive.
