I wasn't thinking when I suddenly developed cramps 2 days ago. I've been taking IB profin and scheduled for surgery Friday. I've left a message at the doctors so i can find out how bad i've messed up. How bad is this? Im in a panic!

Just heard from Omar. He didn't ask any questions about how much or when. told me to drink alot of fluids and that we are still ok for Friday surgery and said "no more please." he is so polite.

Cant wait to not wonder if my butt is as big as hers in any given situation. I don't feel that big however when I look at pictures I am mortified. Fairly certain my butt is typically bigger

Lessofme..thank you. it's just these 4 days. other than that i'm good. i'm not even craving them right now. it just helps me avoid food until surgery. I'm mostly drinking water.

I pretty much had given them up. Weaned myself off of caffeine entirely over the last few weeks. However, the broths, etc. were not helping me feel full. I know the surgery will help for the 2nd half of liquids only but the soda helps for the before surgery. Mainly i drink flavored Water but at dinner, when I'm hungry and have eaten my full of SF Jello, broth and Soup, the diet coke helps me get over the hump. as long as the carbonation isn't going to hurt pre-op i'm ok with the final shutting of the door thursday night. My only concern is it not allowed pre-op for any reason?

Giant frozen section they have a bag with veggies & seasoning and you just add the crab. I know there are alot of easy recipes on line - its usually a tomato based soup with veggies OLD BAY and lump crab. I'll see if i can find a recipe link and post it. I usually just take the easy way out but I always add more Old Bay to the recipe. They just don't have quite enough for Marylanders Yum

I was thinking that it may be hard to be around family at dinner so I'm planning on going for walk or to the gym while they are eating to help control the head hunger. it would have been a lot harder if my kids were little and while my family doesn't do any of the cooking (which I may change too) I am going to try and avoid the head hunger/cravings while others are eating.

Maybe it's just that doctors do things differently but I thought after surgery sleevers were suppose to be high protein/low carbs. Elminate flours, sugars, etc. Eat Protein first, veggies last. I was looking up Soup recipes and there are so many requiring flour. Looking further people are having noodles, rice, pototates, etc. Am I misunderstanding something?

Thank you everyone. I'm definately a meat lover but once i start eating something I like (pizza, chips, brownies, etc.) I don't seem to have a brain. So I'm probably one who should plan on not having them anymore.

ok, just found out that egg drop is high in sodium, corn starch and fat. guess i'll have to make a low-sodium chicken broth version at home.

I'm hoping to make anothe trip to Disney during my next Daytona trip to combine the two since they're so close. I just want to go to Sturgis because we've never been west. In fact my first trip west will be to see Dr. Kelly. I leave on Friday.

no, that's part of my problem, i don't eat high fiber foods. definately lean towards meats in my diet. In fact the most Vitamins i have ever taken in my life are over the last 2 weeks. even when pregnant i couldn't hold them down. I will contact dr. tomorrow.

If you've read this post before I apologize. I thought I posted it but cant seem to find it. To be blunt..Exaclty how bad is post-op farting? I have to go back to work 8 days later and I'm worried that it will be uncontrollable odor or constant. I share a small cubical area with another lady and I really don't want to do that to her. She is also very sensitive to smells so trying to mask potential odors is probably not going to be an option. Am I just over thinking?

this has been going on since before liquid diet but about time starting Water instead of diet coke. i've never had that before thats why i assumed it's the vitamins. Can I take anything preop that you know of to help with this?

Wigs? does it really get that bad? I too have very long hair. I've been taking biotin and scheduled for sugery in 6 days. Try not to stress because I know from personal experience stress can make it very bad. I don't know if i would go so far as a pixie cut (personally) from long hair unless that's something you've always wanted but shorter hair will definately take the weight of and common sense says it will help. IMHO. I hope it improves.

i haven't been sleeved yet but another poster put this up and it stuck with me. search for "Preops: Ppis Are Important!" She says alot of things and addresses hunger and the use of PPIs. Hope it helps. Good luck.

weight had been getting worse over last 2 years put on 20 more pounds. recently a friend came over with her kids and we're all sitting around. the boy looks at me and tells me i remind him of the lady in Bridesmaids Melissa McCarthy. Don't get me wrong I love her acting. I just don't want to admit i'm getting that big. While he meant my loud mouth and laugh that is NOT the first thing that I thought of. This boys mother had a complete bypass and lost over 150 lbs. since she is the only person i ever knew who had weight loss surgery it seemed more feasible for me, especially whenI realized i didn't have to be on death's door to ask for help before this got completely out of control.

Definately an A! I personally wear an oversized faded t-shirt and jeans most of the time instead of taking pride in how i look. I joke around and am sarcastic alot but i do admire and envy anybody, man or woman, who puts forth the effort. I've tried with spanx, push-ups, etc. Hell, even with make-up on I feel like a cow with lipstick . I hope the sagging skin doesn't hurt or is uncomfortable because I cant handle wearing anything tight. Guess I'll find out soon enough. Good luck.

lol believe me its not magic. tried spanx. sucks. they sorta spread out the fat so you don't see lumps. i think i'd rather have the lumps. pretty sure it was invented by the same person who decided women should wear panty hose, underwire bra and foot binding for tiny feet. sadistic sob if you see a woman and she is wearing such a contraption admire her for her inner strength and her willingness to submit to torture for your viewing pleasure
