  1. That is awesome!! I am 10 days out and have lost 17, I'm jealous! Lol!
  2. As everyone else has said yes it is very normal for you to be feeling like that. I am 8 days post-op today and still can't get in all my protein and just barely got in my fluids today. I am still having some problems with feeling very gassy and bloated some. It is definitely a working process and just keep in mind right now that your fluids are more important than the protein because you have to stay hydrated. Good luck! Everything is going just fine and you will do great!
  3. I also am 1 week post op today and really want some mashed potatoes and gravy too! LOL! I just fight threw it and keep sipping on my liquids. Right now I am sipping on some chicken broth and man it is sooo good! LOL! I'm sick of protein shakes and water so I got some chicken broth for a different flavor and it really has hit the spot. It is tough for everyone of us but keep going strong!
  4. My doctor said 2 weeks of liquids and then after 2 weeks of liquids start the pureed food. Not sure how to do a pureed diet that's going to be intresting. Lol! If you have suggestions I'm all ears! I weighed myself the morning of surgery and was 289 and now I'm 273. I also weighed when I got home from surgery the next day and still weighed 289 so since I've been home I have lost 16lbs.
  5. Hello everyone! Today I am down 16 pounds in 7 days! I just wanted to say thanks for all the support I couldn't get through this without each of you! I am feeling pretty good now but having a lot of what I think is hunger pains but not sure. I want to eat something so bad! Lol! Anyway I am doing better getting down my liquids than I was. I was having a hard time with nausea but it has gotten better and I'm picking up my fluids and going to town. Good luck sleevers and I pray for us all!
  6. Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate all the advice and use it as I can! Please keep it coming! I don't know how I would have got through this change without finding this support group because it has helped me more than I can express! Yesterday I was mentally getting drained and once I got on here and read different things it helped 100%! Thank the Lord for VST!
  7. I was sleeved on June 27th so tomorrow marks a week for me! I am starting to feel much better as I also thought omg what did i do. I can't wait to start eating small amounts of food again! I miss food so much and to smell it around the house is killing me. All this liquid drinking will payoff soon enough i keep telling myself.
  8. One thing I did different today was I had a few sips of chicken broth and yummy! I did suffer with gas pains afterwards though but I couldn't help myself.
  9. Glad to know I'm not alone! Sure hope we can get relief very soon!
  10. Hello everyone! I am so glad I found this support group to help me get through this change in my life. Today I was 5 days post op and it wasn't a very good day, I had lots of nausea. I'm still on my 2 weeks liquids which I'm doing but they want you to do 60oz of water and 60oz of protein shake and I'm not anywhere near that yet. I'm sipping as much as I can but my mouth still feels dry all the time. I know it will get easier but just the wait of it and when is killing me. If you have any suggestions or tips I'm all ears! Thanks everyone! Good luck to all and let me know if I can be of any help. I will be covering this support group in my prayers!
