  1. Hi everyone, I just joined this site and am hoping to get to know a few of you out there. I'm having lap-banding in October and am nervous and excited. I have a friend who has had it done and she is having good results. I am looking forward to reading some of your blogs and to learn more about what everyone goes through. I came to my decision as I want to enjoy a longer life with my husband and also I have arthritis and losing weight will help ease some of the pain on my joints. I'm 41 and I am going to do this. Lately, I have been feeling down at what I see in the mirror and want to feel good about myself. So on with my journey..One day at a time.
