I am not sleeved yet but I do know that lower body fat does make you cooler. But, for some people it is just a personal thing. My MIL & all of her children (all thin) just do not handle heat well. They will be pouring sweat in 75 degree weather if they get the slightest bit active. But, I know their bodies are used to the northern state of Minnesota as well! Not this Louisiana torture

Hey everyone, My name is Heather and I found this support group yesterday and joined. I have been in the process of getting the sleeve done for a few months now. My insurance will cover it completely other than a few small fees but I had to meet 3 requirements which I have. Now I am waiting on insurance to confirm I have met their requirements to schedule the surgery. My first question, is there anyone from Louisiana who has experience with doctors in the Shreveport area? Also, who has had their sleeve recently (in all areas). I would love to hear how you are all feeling. And for every one else, Do's and dont's & or any advice you have for me. Success stories are so wonderful to hear but I also like to know about the trials. Thanks
