  1. Kwindham- please let us know how you are..*hugs*.
  2. I've been stalled since June 15th and my surgery was May 15th. I'm so ready for the scale to move again!
  3. I know... I hope both of ours get straightened out... * positive thoughts *
  4. That is so frustrating!! Ugh, I hope you get it resolved. I have to get new medical ins and needed a letter of prior coverage from my last insurance carrier and they put I had coverage for one month! I have had coverage with them for 8 years! I'm still dealing with those idiots to send me a correct letter. Good luck!!!
  5. I had an ekg with my Dr along with bloodwork etc. Xrays etc and then on the day of my preop at the hospital they ran bloodwork and did an EKG. Do you think they are referring to the hospital EKG where they are performing your surgery? Or have you already done the EKG for your pre op admin? Sorry your going thru this... Take care!!!
  6. You are a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and a wonderful person!! You are a blessing in the lives of others and from what I hear from you, you are strong! You have spoken about the things you want to change and you can do it. Everything you are doing is hard but oh what graces are being bestowed on you! Have faith, have faith in the Lord and yourself and success will come. Forgive yourself for being human we are all only humans and will make mistakes but remind yourself how strong and loving and giving you are to your loved ones. And remember to love yourself just as much! You are in my prayers. So glad to have spoken to you. You really are a blessing to those you love. God is here for you!
  7. Yay!!! Christine!! So happy for you
  8. Very informative! I feel better now, I have been at the same weight since June 15th... I fluctuate between 175 and 174... Somedays I could just scream but I know I'm following the plan and all I can do is keep trying... I'm smaller than when I started my journey but I'm still obese.. ill be happy to see my bmi say I'm over weight and then I pray normal!!!
  9. I'm not sure the program but there is a program to help pay for day care for people struggling aka single parents or people who aren't paid enough. Please have your daughter look into that and give yourself time to heal and also take care of your mother. You do have quite a load on you, try and ease some of it as best you can. Either way have faith and know you will get thru this , it may be a struggle most days but it is temporary. Stay strong! But do try and have some of your responsebilties lifted. I'm so sorry you are hurting! Your in my thoughts!
  10. Welcome aboard!! Also people have to remember not everyone is the same height or bone structure. I'm just 5 ft so my weight issues are a lot on such a short person. ( just saying)
  11. Great idea Jonathan!!! It would be nice... Hopefully this gets read by the ones with powers Hehe
  12. Exciting!!! They have so many!! You'll have a blast picking a pair. Oh and I LOVE their lotions and body mists!,they smell so good! Have fun ))
  13. I started out pre surgery 220 and on my day of surgery I was 200. I was sleeved on may 15th and by June 15th I was 175.. but I am still at 175 as of this morning July 8th. I know not to be sad but the mind works on you and tells u this is it , no more weight loss. But with that being said I am definitely looking forward to that darn scale moving again so I can say aha! I told you so! ( to myself) lol
  14. Just keep up with your fluids at home. Have someone with you to keep you up with your pain meds and liquids the first few days and to be with you to help you walk around and help you up and down etc. And call your Dr with any concerns. You should do fine with some home care from a loved one.
  15. You can use miralax for quite a while, many people stay on a dose a day as regular maintenance for constipation. I have been using milk of magnesia but I'm 7 weeks out now and I should switch to miralax or prune juice. This post was good as it reminded me.
  16. I think maybe a throat infection as well. Take your pain meds round the clock and give your Dr a call.
  17. Can I ask why you had a NG tube? Sounds like your doing good now, did the complications resolve?
  18. I'd love to know as well. Between my hysterectomy, bladder surgery, hernia repair ( before wls) and now my sleeve surgery, I look like I was in a knife fight and I lost really bad. My stomach is an intersection and highways of scars
  19. You look amazing! I'm so looking forward to seeing some results like that!
  20. Oh that is right, you will get massive charges if you don't have an international plan. Good suggestion!
  21. Very excited for you! it will be here before ya know it and you're going to do great!!
