  1. Ok here comes my dumb question...why do pork rinds have protein but they list they don't?
  2. Advocare meal replacement powder chocolate flavor. It was great! After surgery you won't need meal replacement just protein so I just bought 2 weeks worth
  3. Exactly,I try tellin' people I don't but I sound exactly like that lol
  4. But when we (Texans) travel everyone hates our accents. I love accents any and all but Dang if I could just lose my own. I have a really bad country accent
  5. Buy some milk of magnesia and take a dose when you feel like you need a bowel movement. It's safe right after surgery...so no worries and it works... Constipation is common with this surgery.
  6. Glad you're doing good!!! Woohooo Congrats )))
  7. Tell us about the billboard and the girl!!! You look super amazing! So happy for you!! Details? ))
  8. You look fantastic!!!
  9. Welcome to VST and your new life!!! Congrats!!!
  10. They really are...you are making a wise decision! Be ready for a new wonderful life!! <3
  11. Dr Davidson is amazing!! Intelligent, caring person and skilled surgeon! I thank every day that I met him and chose him to help save my life! His nurse Gayle is super sweet and helpful and gives so much of herself. I love him and his team!!!
  12. Also, this may not be your last surgery in life and what if one day you meet the surgery you need to save your life and suffer horrible complications. Where is the human empathy we should have for others? My God just because we did great with our surgeries does not mean we won't have future medical procedures. And no they do not go into details for the details are excruciatingly painful life debilitating problems...come on people, we choose surgeries some choose us but we do not have to condemn those who regret a surgery because it stole their life as they knew it.
  13. It's tragic and a sad reality and one that is discussed prior to surgery so you can make the best choice for your personal situation. Surgery is scary. All surgeries. My heart goes out to all those who suffer complications from any surgery. I just recently had two emergency surgeries and the complications that I was informed about scared me to death but so did dying from kidney failure. I did the surgeries. Always make an informed decision but it never is 100% risk free. And please have compassion, you never know when it will be you needing compassion and help from others.
  14. Hopefully this doesn't cause you problems with HR at work. I'm not sure what basis the coordinator is using to try and get an excluded procedure on appeal. I know the last go round cost you 1,000.00 dollars... They should have verified before starting.
  15. They need to run a urinalysis to check for blood in your urine.
  16. Three weeks post op you are still swollen from major surgery!!! It takes 6 weeks for swelling to subside.
  17. Did your Dr give you iv fluids? You need iv fluids to stop the dehydration then your stomache can function. I suggest going immediately to the ER for fluids and assessment.
  18. Contact admin to delete your post with the pic of your address
  19. You shouldn't be eatting enough to make yourself throw up. You are suppose to stop way before that...if your 7 months out and have done that a lot...I would consult with your surgeon to see if your sleeve could be stretched a little. I'm sure you can get back on track...start eatting only the amounts our sleeves can hold..learn your full feeling and stop. The grazing is hard, its more will power...just try your best to not graze...I know its hard but you can do it!!
  20. No your stomache is in shock and not functioning due to being cut from top to bottom and then stapled shut.
