  1. Oh gosh strep throat is going around here! Are you feeling better? Hopefully you are recovered. Laura back away from her hehe
  2. You have to make yourself eat. It's not fun but its temporary. It's not forever but if you do not feed your body the nutrition it needs you will get very sick. Call your dr and eat protein and yogurt and things of that sort. Good luck!
  3. Lasted almost two months for me. I still have issues with plain Water. I do much better with tea or flavored water.
  4. I have BCBS and they would not cover my surgery. There was no way around it because my plan with BCBS had an exclusion for WLS. A lot of companies unfortunately have these exclusions. I went with self pay. I was very sick and the surgery saved my life. Has your sister looked into surgery in Mexico?

  16. I agree the drain causes much discomfort. Some drs do not use one, you can ask. Even if he does, you can manage. Remember to take your pain meds on time. ( something your not allergic to) and do not plan on driving for about 7-14 days. You've had kids and delivered babies... Girl you can do this Moms are strong
  17. I forgot to add that drs will place a filter for you since you have had a prior clot issue. Every precaution is taken to make sure your surgery is a healthy success. Inform your surgeon of your last clot.
  18. I had that feeling as well and kept it to myself. It's a lot to carry around. I would try and meditate and let it go just because its so heavy. My advice about the surgery is tell your anesthesiologist about your kidney problem last surgery. He/she will likely open your fluid lines to full speed which will keep your kidneys functioning really well during the procedure and after. Talk with the anesthesiologist and I believe your fears will be relieved. The more they know the safer you are so your safer now than the last surgery that led to problems. I will keep you in my prayers!
  19. The preop diet is hard but it has an awesome prize waiting at the end! I took one day at a time, just get through today, and before I knew it the next day was surgery!! After your surgery your sleeve is like a giant will power with the ability to say nah I don't want that
