Needing Advice On Writing Short Essay For Weight Loss History For Insurance
Building on what traceyinflorida said, maybe you could carry a notepad with you for 1-2 days and jot things down as you experience them. My own experience would include things like: not being able to tie my shoes easily due and difficulty breathing when bending over, difficulty getting in and out of vehicles and chairs (my desk chair for example), difficulty maintaining personal hygiene (wiping while going to the bathroom, showering, etc.).

Crock Pot?
Yes, but it helps if you remember to put them in FIRST! (I haven't quite mastered that yet)

No Not The Shoes, Not Yet...
Ohhhh! I can't wait for that to happen to me!!!! I wear a size 11W and I want to buy CUTE shoes again Can't find anything in a size 11W except boring, orthopedic-looking shoes! And if they do carry a cute shoe in size 11W it's always out-of-stock! Congrats on your NSV, even if it is aggravating for you

Can't Access "my Settings"
I am unable to access the "My Settings" from the drop-down menu in the top right corner. The wheels just keep spinning on my browser but nothing ever comes up I believe that is the menu I need to access in order to change my notification preferences, correct? Is there another shortcut to this menu? (I'm trying to change the email notifications settings, btw.)

Dr. Kim
What are the nutritionist visits like? I have my first one next Thursday. Would like to know what to expect. Also, did any of you have to do a psych visit? The checklist the staff gave me didn't have that one checked off so I guess I don't need to do it. I am going to double-check on that, however, because I've read that Aetna requires that. Thanks for everyone's input!

$14000 For A Sleep Study!? Help!
No, actually I went to Sleep Therapy of North Texas. It was OK but I was a little put-off by the tech who connected all the wires. He was a nice enough person but was a mouth-breather and had some serious halitosis! Not a pleasant combination to have when in close quarters to someone like that. Also, just a personal preference but as a female I would have preferred to have a female tech instead of a male! BTW - Just saw an email from the scheduling person that after the second sleep study (this weekend) I'll have the option to purchase the CPAP/mask. It will be $322 and I can pay $25 up front and then I can pay the balance in 6 monthly installments. She also said the billing person should be contacting me to discuss the insurance claims. (Fingers crossed!)

$14000 For A Sleep Study!? Help!
Did you every get this resolved with your insurance company? I am dealing with the same problem myself. Just saw a claim come through for $6900, insurance says "You may owe provider $6900" on the claim listing so I am freaking out BIG time! I realize this isn't the final Explanation of Benefits but I am very concerned! I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea after having the initial study done. I'm supposed to go back this weekend for a second round to be fitted for the mask. I told the center they need to sort things out with insurance and find out what I'm going to pay out of pocket for everything in total before I go out there again!

- What Do You Want To Do When You Are Healthier?
I am looking forward to not feeling like the seatbelt may decapitate me after coming to a fast stop! Or if you have to bend down to pick something up off the floor in the car and the seatbelt starts reeling you back in like some sort of deepsea fish!!! Oh and no more granny panties! Sorry "just my size", it doesn't matter how you try to spin it - assorted fashion colors are not attractive for full-coverage briefs!!!- Ninja Bl201 Kitchen System Pulse
Thanks Johnathan!! I was just about to post a question about blenders. I've seen lots of folks post about using the magic bullet, but it has horrible reviews. Good to know there are other options!- 3 Months Post Op Pics
