  2. Did you share with your therapist that you have had WLS? Also, try drinking maybe some sugar free Carnation instant breakfast that wouldn't cause swallowing problems and would get you some nutrition and then drink your protein shakes maybe.
  3. Add some chocolate extract to your optifast shakes changes the flavor!
  4. I have tried Nutrisystem and it too is expensive about $300.00/month for one person and you still have to buy groceries for the rest of the family and veggies to go with their entrees. I did lose 30 lbs in 6 months though. It comes off slow. Don't think I could eat a whole entree at one setting now though and that might be wasteful.
  5. Do you have access to an inside pool for aquatic exercise? Working out in a pool is much easier. You don't get out of breath and it's fun!
  6. I am 4 months post op and even though I chew pasta it still isn't my friend so I steer clear of it most of the time. Hard breads I can eat but nothing doughy.

  8. Yes we are supposed to drink lots of water, and from water coolers is fine. I just picked up a carbonated water by mistake. My fault.
  9. That's what I figured but just wanted to be sure. Was hoping my carbonated water didn't screw things up. Won't do that again. Don't want to mess up a good thing. I've lost 44 lbs since May 10 and I have a 100 more to go to goal weight.
  10. For the past three days I had developed a huge amount of gas and diarrhea (I know, gross sorry) and severe pain at times but never lost my appetite but every time I would eat something it would hang up slightly and a couple of times I had to vomit it back up. So I was just curious. Plus I had about 4 oz of a carbonated water without thinking and as soon as I realized I quit drinking it. Who knew bottled water was carbonated lol. It scared me. Probably just a gastro bug of some kind. It's pretty much settling now.
  11. Just wondering what symptoms go along with both of these?

  13. Same thing happened to me one week post op. orthostatic hypotension. I started making sure I was getting enough fluids in to maintain my BP because I was bottoming out. Be sure to sit up slowly and dangle on the side of bed or the couch and get up slowly, stand for a min or two before moving to let your BP stabilize. Then move. Good luck. Drink plenty of fluids. Get some broth for the sodium as well.
  14. Rings that are loose on my fingers, a boss who told me I look hot lol, jeans have dropped two sizes, and a supportive husband and family!!!!
  15. I eat crisp crust pizza with no problem. Bread that is doughy almost always causes a problem unless you bite off extremely tiny pieces and chew, chew, chew. Same with pasta. Hope that helps.

  17. Nitecap0046 Lol tell your husband you are doing this to prevent the diapers from coming too early! I actually looked forward to baby food until I got there then decided the taste was ugh! I quickly opted for regular food puréed in my Magic Bullet and flavored with my spices and it was much better. Good luck!
  18. My daughter calls all these wonderful little accomplishments (ie....fitting into new sizes, looking good in the mirror, shoes fitting better etc..) NSV's or non-scale victories! I loved this so I stole it from her LOL. Sounds like everyone is doing great! Keep up the great work soon we will all be looking good!!!!
