    ready4change79 got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in June 28Th At 9:15 Nervous
    Ok so I got the call today and my preop is in the morning. My surgery is scheduled and a time is set and I'm a nervous wreck all the sudden. I've waited so long and now its almost here and I'm Freaking out. Has anyone else been this way? I was all calm and collected. I've quit smoking...off caffeine...doing this crazy diet. All to get healthy and have this surgery. Now I feel nervous and sick. I've had other laparoscopic surgeries and did fine. This one I'm thinking what if my liver isn't shrinking...what if something changes. I guess I am just having some crazy thoughts right now.

    I too had hesitation from a friend who basically wanted me to try anything to everything first....yet I had. This person who I love dearly has not been overweight in her life. I just explained that I had done my research and made the best decision for me. I want to live my life to the fullest and its my choice. I find a lot of people who are so negative about it are also truly uneducated about any of it. So you know in your heart if this decision is right for you. So just follow your heart.

    I'm a June sleever, but I won't start my preop diet until the 14th. I am trying to ease my way into now by making healthier choices and working out. My preop diet will consist of 6 Glucerna shakes a day, 2 servings of low/no fat low/no sugar yogurt, two 8oz servings of juice, and all of the no calorie drinks I can stand. I currently have the lapband and have gone through this before, but it's still going to be a struggle. I have my surgery the week before the 4th of July. I don't plan to have a party then either. I'm sure that my husband and son will cookout, but I shall abstain. Maybe I can lick the BBQ Sauce. :0)

    QUESTION:
    "I'm having surgery soon, what will I need for my hospital stay or for shortly after???"
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Okay, ladies and gentlemen, this question comes up here so much - I felt it would be a great idea to start up an official thread. My plan is once I think the list is great enough, I'm going to create a checklist for all the folks out there that will be sleeved shortly and have the above question. Then if you are around long enough and as much as I am, and someone has that question you can just lead them to this thread. Fair enough?
    Sometimes it's just nice to have everything all in the same place, kinda following the Walmart rule of thumb. They are very successful, aren't they?
    Anyway, please start with your suggestions and I'll get my MSWord fired up. I'll also start with the first suggestion:
    Comfy Pajamas, underclothes, and slippers or warm cozy socks...
