How To Overcome Plateau?
I have had a fill, 3 cc. I don't eat anything not allowed by the doc and I count/measure portion. I go back again on August 20 for another fill. Thanks for the ideas.

How To Overcome Plateau?
Hi everyone. I'm pretty sure I hit a plateau and just was wondering what you found to work to help overcome and continue with weight loss. I am down 56 pounds overall, about 20 since surgery on 6/13. I work out and usually do something different every couple of days so I don't get tired of the same stuff and I track on my fitness pal. Thanks for your suggestions!

Construction Worker
I bought these little containers where you put the lid in the freezer, so anything you put in stays cold. Thy are from Wal-Mart in the back to school section.

Am I Eating Too Much?
At 11 days I couldn't even eat food. I was just starting puréed stage and remember a lot of tuna fish, puréed shrimp, and protein shakes.

Incisions Are Itching
In my case I had a severe allergic reaction to the surgical glue. I was itching so bad and it felt like I was itching in my stomach. It was awful. I too thought it was just healing but instead it was a day at the hospital. Keep an eye on how red they get! I develope hives, blisters, and burning out of nowhere.

My Bill
I have BCBS too and everything was supposed to be covered. I got a statement that showed they weren't covering anything. I would not have gotten surgery unless it was covered. My doc has an insurance person and I'm starting my fight to have them pay what they said they'd pay for. Good luck!!

Naval Incision
I have three. One right through my belly button, left breast bone, and one on the right side below rib cage. I guess it depends on the surgeon.

Rash
I had a severe allergic reaction to the tape. The doctors at the ER pulled the tape off and gave me cortisone cream.

Emotional
Yes. I had my surgery June 13. It gets better. Some days are harder than others, but it gets easier to deal with. I still have my moments. Stay strong! Good luck.

2 Month Band-Iversary....happy With Where I Am At.
There are plenty of exercises that you can do to target certain areas. You can lift a 5lb weight straight up over your head then bend at your elbow and lower the weight behind your head. Hold the weight up and down not side to side. Do these slowly. I usually do them during commercials. Holding a medicine ball and turning side to side is a good stomach area work out. There are lots. Google it, you'll find them. Good luck

Bad Day But Its Ok
On My Fitness Pal you can track with ounces. It's really easy. Usually everything is by serving so if you weigh 4 ounces of meat it will tell you how many servings that is. Good luck! Don't give up. I'm about 2 weeks out.

June 25Th Surgery- Nervous!!!!!
Hi. I had surgery June 13. I felt the same way right before, however, my doc did not require a pre-op diet for me, just a day before was all liquid. I felt scared, nervous, worried, everything but excited. After surgery, for the first I'd say 4-5 days I repeatedly questioned myself. As time passes, I feel better each day. The worried doubts and thoughts are less and less as I get used to this lifestyle change. Good luck! Remember, in the end it will be well worth it.

Anyone Else Allergic?
My incisions didn't have anything coming out. I'd call the doc just to make sure.

Anyone Else Allergic?
I went to the emergency room and they said I had a severe allergy to the tape. My stomach is covered in blisters and welts. It's all incision sites and other parts where the tape touched my stomach. It feels like my stomach is on fire. The er did blood work and everything came back fine. My incisions healed fine. I am just wondering how long before these welts and blisters go away and the swelling goes down.

How Long Before You Cleaned Out Your Closet?
Congrats everyone! I started dieting after I went to my first seminar in February. I am 9 days post op and am down about 40 lbs since then. I tried on some clothes to go to the mall and I was surprised at how much doesn't fit. I can't wait to just take everything in my closet to good will one day

How Long Before You Cleaned Out Your Closet?
Hi everyone! Just wondering how long you decided to start cleaning out clothes that were too big. Are there certain clothes that you suggest holding onto as you lose weight?

:(
Turns out I had a severe allergic reaction to the glue. Spent all day at the er. It's pretty ugly to look at but I'm glad it wasn't something more serious and I got it before the blisters got really bad.

Newly Banded
Just got home from a day at the er. Turns out I was seriously allergic to the surgical glue. My stomach looks like its covered in blisters. The itching was bad but then the out of nowhere came the bumps. Good luck with the fill! Let me know how that goes.

Newly Banded
Hi family girl, As more time has passed I feel much much better. It's still hard some days, probably because it's so new. I'm really committed to sticking to the calendar and outline given to me by my doc and haven't cheated at all, so I think I've realized how often I was eating just to eat, or eating because everyone else was. The mental part is tough. I come to this site, complain, then read what others say and I remember my son deserves a healthy mom. Message me anytime! My name is Stella.
