Hi LB family~ it's been a year since I've had my surgery and I have 28 pounds remaining to meet my goal. I've tried everything, has any other bandsters been met with this challenge? Any advice you could give would be great. Thanks. Also, I have never had a fill.

You wonderful ladies will do great!....just know that the pounds didn't come over night and they will not fall off over night. Be encouraged and know that this is a New Life Journey...not a diet. Good luck and much success to you all.

You are amazing! keep on with your new life journey. I felt the same way when I re-entered onderland after 26 years. You are my inspiration.

I've been banded for one year. When I first got banded, my doctor wasn't sure if I would be able to do this, when I went for my last appt. for the year, he told me how I amazed him and that, with me having diabetes it was a up hill battle. The fact that I was able to do this without having a fill he said that is what really impressed him. It hasn't been easy, but I am doing this. Praise God! thank you family for your kind words. Good luck to you all, on your new life journey.

Hello Lap band Family: I am so excited, a new me.....down 74 pounds without a fill. I am so proud of myself. Never thought that I could do this, but I am doing this. With the support of my husband and family, I have been able to have a new life journey and be okay with it all. A whole new way of eating and living.

Be encouraged and don't let that side track your new life journey....keep up the good work.

From what you are saying, it sounds to me as if you need some type of counseling. You have way too much going on in your life to concentrate on you. Talk with your doctor to see if he can refer you to a counselor, once you gotten things off of your mind, to can put your mind to losing weight and taking care of you.

Congratulations! I just reached one-derland myself, two days ago. Be encouraged and keep up the good work.

I know the feeling, My cousin and my grandmother died the first week of February. My grandmother and I were extremely close. I can't seem to get it together. I haven't logged my food like I usually do every day. I haven't gained, I did lose 2 pounds considering. However my sugar levels have been through the roof. I go this friday for my monthly follow-up and I don't really feel up to going. There are times that I am not hungry and don't eat much, and then there are times where I eat things that I know I shouldn't, I get this urge when I think of my grandmother. I've been sick with and awful cold for two weeks, my husband and I are having problems financially and in our marriage. and I am at my wits end. I am trying to maintain. I refuse to gain back any of the 62 pounds that I have lost. Please keep me in prayer.

You will do fine, after the surgery it's kind of like "buyers remorse" But just hang in there. It will get easier with each passing day, and when you start to see those pounds melt away you will be so thankful that you made this decision. It's one of the best decisions of my life and I love my New Life Journey. Good luck, I know that you can and will reach your goal.
