oops hit the return button too soon. You'll stay with them the night after surgery. they have it all planned out. I found someone on verticalsleevetalk.com having surgery the same day as me. Have you thought about vsg? I did but my bmi is kinda low and I just wanted something i could have control over. Dr almanza does more vsg's than lb surgeries i think. alot of people on that other forum use him. it's 1000.00 more but you never have to have fills done.

Stayed at hampton inn in sandiego they pick you up a the airport and take you to the hospital, you stay one night and leave the next moringing. I'ts through Weightlossagents.com they're very helpful. There are places closer to el paso but i don't know anything about them...i'm going by myself (only from san diego

I'm so sorry for you that don't have support at home,that sucks! I don't have a lot of support at home but i haven't had surgery yet so we'll see. But i can hear my husband saying things like "aren't you suppose to lose weight faster than this?" "or you could've done this without surgery if you just tried harder" Then i tell him to fall off the face of the earth if you don't shut the _ _ _ _ up! for real, i don't tolerate talk like that. I hope you husbands, boyfriends all come around. People are mean to us bandsters sometimes,and not just at home...

Thanks for your story do you see dr curry? I was going to see him when I get back from mexico but i found someone closer. he's awesome they say, anyways, tijuana mexico is not fancy, but it is clean and they take good care of you. dr almanza is the cheapest, if i were starting this all over i probably would've went with dr ortiz he's not quite as cheap (dr almanza is the cheapest surgeon i've found anywhere), but his facilities are nicer and more people go to him. I'm glad i could help you, if you need anymore help or info on dr almanza let me know. i go aug 28th for surgery...
