  5. I've heard you should walk around whenever possible on the flight. go to the bathroom every 1/2 hour or so to prevent blood clots. You might be far enough away from your surgery to not have to worry about it but i've heard it can cause blood clots (DVT).
  6. I'm a RN, work in a recovery unit, i'm going to be off 1 wk. after surgery. I can delegate the lifting for a few wks. after surgery. My surgery is scheduled for Aug 28th! We need a nurse group on here! keep in touch
  7. The anesthesia can cause a short period of depressive/anxious moods/feelings. Your body has been through alot. Everyday will get better!

  10. Only have one week to go till surgery. I am not scared but i am very excited to have it done. I'm excited about the trip. i paid for the surgery today, OUCH! but it couldve been alot higher if done in the states of course. I feel it's worth it to pay cash. My bmi isn't high enough for insurance to pay for it. I don't have alot to say,i packed my bags today (yes, already) I'm like a little kid waiting for santa to come lol...Don't have much to say except i'm ready for this....I'm ready to start the rest of my life and get on with things. we have alot going on at home, building on, re-roofing, new front porch etc. trying to finish nursing school for bachelor's degree... gonna be too busy to eat! thanks for reading my jumbled thoughts!

  19. it's not unusual to spike a little temp after surgery ( just the body's reaction to the procedure) but it's good to notify and see the doc just in case it is infection going on somewhere,,,,
  20. I don't see Omega listed on my Unjury unflavored protein powder. It's not a shake per se, but it is protein...

  22. Have only 8 days to go before surgery. It's starting to seem real now... I'm not scared but just very excited about the trip and the procedure...Good luck to all of you coming up and those who have just had surgery.... Havent' been on here much lately been very busy working....Can't wait to be off 10 days. Yesterday was one of the worst days i've had as a nurse.... ever....
