  1. Source: Anticipating Surgery In August
  2. I have everything in order, I hope, for surgery in TIjuana Mexico. The flights, rooms, arrangements at work, and home... Damn this has been expensive, but it's still not as expensive as having surgery in the states, (even the grand totaL). Even the grand total is less than only having surgery in the states, probably you could include my fills/followup care for a few years and it would still be less than just having the surgery done in the states. That's what I keep reminding myself of anyways...
  3. I have to be on liquid diet for 3 days before surgery, I think it depends on your BMI/surgeon...
  4. You're invited to join our august 2012 bandsters group if you haven't already. Good luck and take care...
  5. I'm so excited I can't stand it. Seems like it'll take forever for Aug. 28th to get here! I can't wait to get started on this part of my life! I have bought skinny-clothes just waiting to be able to wear them. I never buy clothes that fit me now anymore.... I bought size 8 levi's yesterday and they're soooo cute!!! Well, it's late and I've just run out of things to talk about, I'm just a waitin'...

I've been out of comission for a while, had to get a new computer. Got a little netbook so I can keep in touch everywhere I go! The other notebook laptop had a bunch of stuff on it from my kids (games) and I couldn't get it to run. I got this just for ME ME ME! Had a long day today, applied for my passport for the trip to Mexico, should be here in 2 1/2 weeks- 3 weeks they said. Just a waitin'...
  7. I'm just a waiting! I'm having a hard time waiting! my date is august 28th, can 't wait...

  9. I had found a dr. before I scheduled surgery that was 4 1/2 hours away, I wouldn't have scheduled surgery without having a dr. to take care of me first, i was just glad to find one closer and more reasonable in price... But thanks for the concern...
  10. No you shouldn't! HAHA
  11. I have done all of that, found one 45 mine from home that is reasonable.
  12. Yay Cool! Hope everything goes great for you...
  13. I'm having surgery august 28th in tijuana with dr. almanza-reyes. Is anyone else going that day? I'm staying at the Hampton Inn in San Diego the 27th, the 29th, and heading home the 30th...Wish I could find someone going this day.
  14. You should have lap-band surgery if you feel it is right for you. It'll work, but it is just a tool. I try to keep reminding my self of this, but it is an awesomely effective tool...
  15. Hope you all find out you get banded soon... Keep in touch...
  16. I found a Dr. that will do my aftercare/fills that is 45 min from home! I thought I was going to have to drive 5 hours each time! My best friend who had lapband surgery 3 years ago's dr agreed to take me even though I'm having surgery in Mexico! He's very well know in our area, as there aren't many bariatric dr's at this time (we're out in BFE as some would call it). HAHA I'm really sure now that lapband was the way for me to go vs. vsg. I almost opted for the sleeve because of problems with f/u care/fill dr's being scarce. But now I don't doubt I'm doing the right thing...He charges 450.00 for 1st post op visit, then 200.00 for each fil, whick seems hight, but I was going to pay more for the dr. that was 5 hours away, so I feel fortunate to have this Dr. to take care of me... Thanks for reading my jumbled thoughts, Just a waitin'...

Well, yesterday I traded my eldest son a desktop that was 4 years old, for a good laptop that was 4 months old! I didn't rip him off either!! haha Well, maybe, but I bought both of them anyways, so... He wanted a desktop (don't know why), and I needed a laptop to take on trip to mexico in august, and to take to work etc... I had an awful time getting on lapbandtalk.com yesterday, you might say I was going through lapbandtalk DT'S! This is the first time I've ever blogged or forumed before...But, now I see why people do it. You can learn alot. And it's awesome to talk to others having same experiences. i've always been a pretty private, (non-social) person. But this interest in WLS and improving my looks/health (not necessarily in that order) has sparked my social-side. Gotta go, Just a waitin!
  18. I had to change browsers last night, now I have firefox13. Google chrome wouldn't run on here. thanks
  19. My appointment is the 28th of august, good luck to you hope all goes well.
  20. We would like to encourage all of you to join our august 2012 bandsters group, so far we only have 7 members, we would really appreciate your input about your experience before, during, and after surgery!
  21. I buy clothes that I won't be able to wear for a while as well. I bought jeans/shirts/and especially a skimpy bathing suit that i'll have to lose about 60 pounds to wear. I have them hanging in my bedroom to look at as inspiration. I even imagine how i'll look in them, (imagery is very important I feel when you start setting goals for anything). I know this next month will probably go by quickly, i hope it does. I plan to work alot. My husband will be gone to Sturgis SD 2 weeks at the end of july/beggining of august, i plan to work extra at both of my nursing jobs to have plenty of dough to take on my trip to mexico for surgery august 28th.... Just a waitin'...
  22. Thanks, I plan to go ahead and try. we"ll do the mission bay skyride, and see the dolphins & killer whales then probably leave. I usually bounce back from stuff easily. Actually I found out when could probably get in the room early, but this is our only day to actually do something fun. I've never been to cA. or Mexico or anywhere farther west than Missouri so we want to try to do something! It'll probably be along time before I get to go back there. Sorry if I spelled anything wrong but the print on this site is tiny today? Is it that way on your pc? I can't even read it and I don't have poor eyesight it's so small. Just started doing this today...Thanks...
  23. yay! We have a group for august bandsters please join if you haven't already. Congratulations too! I'm scheduled for aug. 28th can't wait. You don't have that long to go, like 3 wks or so! That's awesome...good luck to you and keep in touch...
