Thinking Of Surgery
Cassy, Bless your heart! You have so much going on at such a young age. This surgery could very well be life saving for you! Of course it's completely up to you but if you've tried dieting and you go up and down up and down, can never maintain then this may be the surgery for you. I like you have been overweight almost my entire life! About 10 years old I went from normal kid to fatty mc fat fat (LOL) like overnight! It was horrible! I felt so bad so my mom took me to the Dr and I started counting calories at like 11 yo! Sad! Anywho it didn't last forever, nothing ever has. I have steadily gained over the years, at 10 I think I was about 140? And am now at 275! Omg I'm almost 300lb! That scares the shiznitz out of me, SERIOUSLY! The last couple years I cared for my disabled brother(and best friend) and that's when I went from 220 to 270(and while he was in the hospital for 35 days before he died march 14th, 2012). So my brother is the reason I am financially able to have this surgery now which will save my life because I already have high cholesterol and really high triglycerides! I hope you make a decision to help you live longer no matter what that is. Good Luck! Johnathan

Tennessee, Anyone?
- Louisiana Sleevers??!
I just seen this thread and like a couple others I'm being sleeved by Dr. Borland in New Iberia on July 25! Only 20 days left, I'm so excited!! I actually live in Ga but my bestie lives in Abbeville and will be taking care of me and I'll b stayin a month so I don't have to drive home and come back right away for my 1mo. Check up. Besides that's too much driving right after surgery anyway. Johnathan- But I Do Wanna Be A Size 6
Hell yes! I don't think your shallow at all! I can't wait to be able to buy jeans from The Buckle again! They don't sell fat people jeans and they are the best fitting jeans in the world(IMHO). I can't wait to be able to wear a 32 size jean, and a large or medim shirt! Oh lord how good will that feel! You wish for whatever it is you want, I know I'm going to.- Driving For 9 Hours
Oh I'm definitely not missing my appointments. I knew when I chose to have an out of state Dr that I would have appointments and have to drive there to see him, and I have no problem with that. Most likely I'll just stay the entire month until after my first visit and then drive home. I may go on blood thinners anyway depending on if my Dr uses them post op, and If blood clots could be an issue, he could always give them to me before I drive home or something. Idk but I'm def. talking to him about it Monday! Thanks!- Be Honest Peeps When Was The First Time You Tried Carne Asada After Surgery?
I completely agree with Tmyers! Don't jeopardize your sleeve! It just isn't worth it.- Cant Live Without Products?
Today I bought an Oster personal blender that comes with a cup that you blend in with the lid. I think it's a wonderful idea for Protein powder drinks and smoothies whatever you wanna make, and it's easy to take on the go. That is one thing I would recommend. Im trying to figure it all out too! I def want to get some smaller eating utensils as well. Good Luck! Johnathan- Driving For 9 Hours
Ok so I'm having surgery out of state, in Louisiana where my best friend lives and will help care for me after surgery. I know the first week I can't drive back bc I have an an appt at 1 week out anyway. And then again at 1 month so I'm thinking of staying the entire month anyway. Anyway I have a 9 hour drive back to Ga and I'm thinking it'll be at least 2 weeks before I can take such a long trip, especially driving myself, if not longer? I'll talk to the Dr about this Monday but wanted to get someone else's input that maybe has experience? Thanks! Johnathan- How Soon After Surgery Can I Resume Competitive Eating Contests?
I seen this too and I'm pre sleeve and this made me disgusted! It's horrible how people can stuff 60 hot dogs in no time! It made me throw up a little in my mouth lol- Yay I Farted!
Lmao! This thread is hilarious! The next time you be saying DAMN I SHARTED! Bahahaha Glad your feeling a little relief Johnathan- Unjury Strawberry Sorbet
- Just Got Surgery Date Of July 25Th!
Lol yea I think I made a great decision. How much longer is it going to take for insurance?- Just Got Surgery Date Of July 25Th!

For those of you that use this, I assume it is excellent because it is sold out! Do any of you that use it know when it will be back in stock? Thanks! Johnathan- Syntrax Nectar
I ordered some of the sample packs but didn't get the Crystal Blue bc I had no idea what it tasted like. What does it taste like? Also anyone- does the lemonade taste good and is it thin like lemonade? Not thick like a Protein shake? Thanks! Johnathan- Louisiana Sleevers?

- Over 24 Hours And No Cigarette!
I have to say thanks to all that have given me support and ideas to help! I'm like 27 hours and no cigarette. Actually not even a craving that has been really bad! I do however ALWAYS want one after I eat a meal! That has been really hard BUT I'm using Peppermint sticks and cough drops that help tremendously!! Thanks everyone! Johnathan- 1 Week Post-Op
I can imagine the craving of Mashsed Potatoes and Gravy, especially from KFC Bc they are the BEST! But please stick to Dr's orders!!! Don't mess up your sleeve and maybe have an emergency surgery bc you blew out a staple over some mashed potatoes! Good luck! Johnathan- Louisiana Sleevers?
Thanks! I am from Ga. I'm not all that worried with the bed thing, a lot of people have said its compatible with gallbladder surgery and I was pretty sore but it wasn't an issue with being in a bed and I remember I had a big sleigh bed that was way off the floor then. They have a new holiday inn express that's like 139/night and they will have Comfy beds so I think it'll be ok. I actually love it down there when I'm not close to Water and being eaten up by Mosquitos! I've still got scars on my legs where I was eaten up by them when I was there for a few weeks in march! They are awful there but I always get it worse than others! It has something to do with the chemicals my body puts off that is more appealing to those blood suckers. Anyway thanks for saying hi! Good luck to you all! Johnathan- Louisiana Sleevers?
I'm not from LA but my bestie lives in Abbeville and she of taking care of me after surgery so that's why I'm having it done in Louisiana. I'm using Dr. Borland in New Iberia. I've talked to people that have used him and they just love him. He has a very reasonable cash price of $9800. it is done outpatient, if you don't live there then you have to stay in a hotel in New Iberia and he comes 2 days and checks on you, his nurse calls you daily and you also have the Dr's home and cell # in case of emergencys or a question arises. (letting y'all know in case anyone on here is looking for a good Dr for self pay) I'm very happy with my choice to use him and my surgery is the 25th in 21 days! So excited!! Anyway I just wanted to say hi and I'll be in your state soon lol Johnathan - Louisiana Sleevers??!
