I felt the same way I was 355 lbs when I started so I love love food. I was freaking out the night before surgery6-12-12. Now I'm a week post op and I'm on mushie foods now I'm still healing. I have been so pre occupied on making sure I'm following my diet and re focusing my attention to doing things right. Has it been hard yes have I been frustrated yes. But I've lost 30 lbs since my pre op post op diet. I rushed to get a side of mashed potatoes when I got put on mushies. I could only eat a little side but they were the best! I ate a little oatmeal this morning and a little chicken salad and tonight a little ribet with the rest of my potatoes. I get full faster and I'm eating yummy foods. I'm trying to learn to eat slow and enjoy the taste. The foods are still really good. I was also able to wear my old pants to work this morning. It's totally worth it! And if all else fails you can always get your band unfilled and go back to the old way. But I doubt you would want to so that when you start seeing the new sexy you. And if you want a little wine with your pasta drink it. One time won't hurt when your in a special occasion most ppl cheat at holidays and vacation anyways. What would be the difference banded or not. Good luck I hope I helped ease your mind a little.

I was aloud low carb shakes for breakfast lunch and could eat sugar free jello and broth low fat all I wanted no sugar no carbs. Then if I couldn't take it one meal a day with 3 oz very lean meat and two cups of certain veggies. Oh and for a treat sugar free pop sickles. I lost 23 lbs and my liver looked great he said. But every doctor is different. Your lucky you can eat more. Good luck! I'm sure it will all play out. Then after the band is in place liquid only omg I'm starving!!!!!!!! But I can not fail I'm nit messing anything up! I go tomorrow to hopefully get out on mushies.

What is mfp? I have never heard of that. I am from Stephenville texas. I am a week post op tomorrow.

Oh yes good luck with that I've heard a lot of success with the Lap band and children. I had mine when I was 18,and 21. I guess I was just fertile lol. Good luck on being banded I was banded a week ago tomorrow. Im just now getting back to feeling good.

I want a budd : ( I have a co worker with the gastric bypass but its just not the same. I also know a younger girl with the band but she isn't even following the rules and is totally immature! I am 330 lbs 29 years old with 2 kids and 2 step kids. Im married with a wonderful husband but he also is clueless and eats me out of house and home. I need someone or more to share my journey with.

I've had them since after my first son was born buy some supositories and keep them in the fridge also cream those cold suppositories will make them feel better. The cream relieves them and a hot bath also helps. I've been dealing with them they have had me in tears several times. The pre op diet about killed me. Since I've been banded and hardly eat I hardly go# 2 I'm sure.when I go to mushie food that will change.

Well so far so good at work. I finally broke down and took some nausea medicine since I manage fast food. Good luck to those of you starting back to work today. Yes I should try some hot broth or something im still on liquids right now. Is tomato soup concidered a liquid or not my mom said I can't eat anything but like broth and protein shakes and popsicles but I don't see why liquid tomato soup would hurt. I'm so freakn hungry! What ate yall doing??

I'm six days post op and the last few days I've woke up dizzy and nauseas. Does this have to do with pain meds or is this my life now?? I return to work today and in worried I don't want to feel like this all day and I can't take pain meds exep children's ibuprophen. Will this pass or just a new thing to get used to. If it gets to bad I have fenergrin but that makes me sleepy. Man I shouldn't have been so lazy on my vacation. Here goes nothing.

I'm so sorry lapband lala this is tragic. I watched your video and feel your pain. It must feel like your loosing your best friend. I wish their was something I could do. I just recently got banded Tuesday. I couldnt imagine. Your so strong I've never been below 200 so it would be devestating to loose then gain back. I hope that you can remain strong and not fall prey to this horrid disease. Obesity its evil and it always in your mind nagging you to eat bad stuff more stuff. Stay strong!! I hope everything works out.

Oh the grunting yes or almost peeing when you sneeze because you have so much weight in your bladder. Does anyone else feel like when you smell a fart ppl automatically look at you because your fat that you must have done it. Omg maybe its just me but I honestly feel that way.

Oh yeah I'm so exited I go Wednesday to check incisions and maybe get out on mushies. But I've already lost 25 lbs from pre diet and this week. This is great so far I'm scared to go through banister hell as everyone calls it.

About when do you get your first fill and then the second and so on?

I'm 4 days post op and my port sight is a little red and bruising. It a little stingy but not to bad. I've been up and moving around like the doctor said. Did anyone else experience this? I just don't want to have gone through all this for nothing.

Not breaking down my furniture. You can tell what side of the couch and bed I'm on. What about yall what do you look forward in doing?

I had my surgery at grandbury it was a day surgery in and out quick. I'm post op day 2 feeling ok today. Still not super hungry yet. I had Dr.bradly hart he is awesome.

Yes I feel like my husband has never met the real me yet. I can't wait to get some confidence back. Even though we met and married when I was big I want him to have that hot wife he deserves. ; )

Oh well they didn't give me a tool that sucks : ( but I have been walking around so that's probably why I'm coughing up.stuff.
