Yes, I had some after effects from it as well. Did they give you a Spirometer? I found that helped a lot.

You should try to couch alot after surgery. It is very common. If you dont use your lungs and cough or use that tool they give you, it can lead to a lung infection (even after being under such a short amount of time). I felt like I had a mild cold for about a day.

I had to cough like crazy the first couple of days post. And my voice was totally gone. They told me they put an intubation tube in to help me breathe during surgery, and my throat and bronchial tubes ached for about 5 days after surgery. But like the others said I used that thing they gave me in the hospital and I think it really helped to get it out of my system. That and I made myself keep taking deep breaths to get rid of the pain.

I had my surgery on monday and have been coughing up alot of stuff too. It hurts super bad when i cough or take a deep breath. Just trying to get though this part quickly.
