  1. We had a huge Super Bowl party at work yesterday. I ate, but not much of anything. A tablespoon of Mac and cheese, a few cheese cubes, and a tablespoon of spinach dip. But all the desserts sure looked nice.
  2. I wanted a picture of my stomach all dead and lifeless on a specimen tray. I didn't get that shot, but I got some neat ones from inside. You just gotta ask.
  3. Wow. Wow. That is ridiculously insensitive! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. It's awful how people can assume they know what's best for others.
  4. I'm ticked at my co workers, too. Another girl in the office got flowers when she went for her sleeve. I made sure I told everyone I was going for the surgery, and that my 30th birthday would be a couple days after. I got jack. Not sure if the morale committee dropped the ball or what. Hoping they at least remembered my birthday card for when I get back tomorrow. It's way more sucky in your situation, though!!! I agree with buying yourself a bouquet!
  5. The leak test was the worst part for me. I was so nauseous, and choking down that contrast study felt like torture.
  6. OMG, now I think I might have had my boobs taped, there was a mark on the one that looked like something was stuck on it! O.o
  7. They were fine for me pre-op but now they taste disgusting
  8. I'm praying for easier o's. Currently I need a freaking jackhammer to get off.
  9. 5. I thought the main one would be in my belly button, but it's not. Maybe because I already have a scar there from having my gallbladder out.
  10. I can take about 3 normal size swallows with no problems, too. I'm 9 days out.
  11. My baby is 20lbs and I'm 8 days out and lifting her fine.
  12. I felt the same way, it was like the TV was FILLED with Wendy's commercials!! I was ready to kill for a mozzarella stick, but the urge subsided around day 5.
  13. My incisions are itchy. And I haven't pooped in 3 days. Otherwise good.
  14. Mine was totally and completely uneventful. Didn't even get a sore throat.
  15. Holy cow, that's a lot of weight in that much time! Crazy how the body just makes it disappear. Congratulations!
  16. I spent 50 minutes nursing a sugar free pudding cup waiting to suddenly "feel full"!
  17. Did you have to chew the crap out of it? Or eat each piece in 2+ bites?
  18. I'm 5 days post op and still on liquids. I never thought I had emotional eating issues, but hey -- I gained this weight somehow! So I figured maybe post-operatively I'd learn something about myself. Well, since yesterday I have been obsessively thinking of how much I want a mozzarella stick from Arby's. Just one. I can't shake it!! What do you think -- psychological issues or just the normal course of a poor fattie on a liquid diet?
  19. I just got sleeved last week, and I started this process in May. I had to go through the 6 month program then wait for insurance approval. It goes fast.
  20. 4 days post op and I am dreaming of full liquids. Think it's okay to put a little dab of sugar free Cool Whip on my sugar free pudding?
  21. Mine started 3 days post op, just when I was starting to feel good. Now I had to take the pain meds they gave me to kill my cramps. And the nausea meds. So now I'm back to sleeping a lot and it worrying that I'm not hydrated enough because obviously I can't drink and sleep at the same time. Ugh.
  22. I had a button for pain meds. Didn't touch it the whole time.
