  1. For those of you on MFP, what are your usernames? I am looking to add some new friends! I an knewland1. Thanks!
  2. I have not been eating those soups on the liquid diet, just broth and tomato but I will now! Guess I was just scared a piece of chicken or potato might get stuck!
  3. I am having the same issue. Banded on the 28th.
  4. I picked up a few of those mixer cups. They work great for on the go! Now, if I just had a maid to clean them! :-)
  5. I like your idea, think I will do the same.
  6. Thanks. That helps. I am being too paranoid! I just want them off so I can feel a bit less bloated!
  7. As just banded on Friday. Doc said I could take off bandages today, leaving strips on and I can shower. I am scared when I take bandages off I will rip or pull something! Also, how long before I do not need to cover strips with bandages? Terrified of infection. First laparoscopic surgery so unsure!
  8. You all are inspiring me even more!!! We can do it!! What a sweet little grand baby!!!
  9. You go Girl! You look beautiful!!
  10. I was just banded thin past Friday and I am finding that feeling hungry every so often. I am sure I will feel this way on and off for the next several weeks. So I have decided to focus on what will inspire me to keep motivated the next several weeks. First and foremost it is living a longer healthier life with my daughter, being more physically with my daughter, not feeling embarrassed every time I leave the house and finally, looking hot again!! I also went and picked up a Vogue magazine this afternoon. I in no way wish to as thin as those models but it reminds me that I have to stay motivated and focused on the long term goal! So, what inspires you?!!!
  11. Why no carbonation? Should we not be drinking soda? I switched from regular soda to diet soda before I was banded. Should I give that up too? My doc was the one who suggested going from regular to diet.
  12. Quadruplets!! I am doing okay. Gas today, using gas x as well and heating pad on back. I went shopping today at Walmart (brief trip with hubby) but afterwards felt like I overdid it a bit. I feel really swollen but I assume that is normal. Getting up is painful. I am grateful for the pain meds but dislike them as well because they make me feel goofy and have weird dreams! How much time are you all taking off from work, if working? I am supposed to go back Monday, my choice, but I may have to rethink that decision!!!
  13. I was just banded yesterday and am sometimes feeling very hungry as well. I am hoping the protein shakes and other liquids keep it under control. I hope I will get used to it somewhat because I have 5 weeks to go before my first fill. I totally understand your pain!! We can do it though!!
