  1. For the first time. Banded 4 weeks ago today. So I chose a small chili from Wendy's. it tasted so good I almost cried! Can a small chili really only be 210 calories?!! That is supposedly right but it tasted so good and now i feel guilty. Like i cheated! I am going to
  2. You poor thing!! Maybe your doctor has another alternative?!!
  3. I have the SAME problem. Even though I have not even had my first fill, I do sometimes feel nauseous. I think it happens when I drink something to fast or also when I work out (which is rare thus far!) and maybe overdue it. What is Zofran?
  4. Hey Everyone! I was banded 9/28 and am down 22 pounds as of yesterday. Today it has been 4 weeks. I do not have my first fill until 11/08 and I am more than ready for it!! I am pleased with progress thus far. I need to work out more though, I have been bad about that for sure. I am loving all the support and info here, it has made the 4 weeks easier to get through!
  5. So I started this two days ago. Skipped yesterday because of a crazy late workday. Are we allowed to skip days or should I just start over?
  6. Working out will be necessary. There are threads solely about exercise. Even if you lose all the weight you want, a sedentary lifestyle is never good for anyone. Trust me, you will hit plateaus and will have no choice but to start working out. Nothing magic about the band. Still gotta do the hard work.
  7. I have had gurgling as well. I figured it was a bug or something. It feels weird. I took some of the anti nausea pills I had left over from surgery and it helped. If it continues, it sure what to do. I am going to bring up with doctor next appt.
  8. I feel so lucky. I see Dr. Ray in Bloomington Indiana. They have been so amazing and supportive and attentive thus far. I have never had any of these issues. I am 3 weeks out at this point and could never imagine Dr. Ray or any of his staff being this misinformed or uncaring. You deserve better! Take your records and run. I would also put your complaints in an email to the doctor. If you are gonna leave, share your experience so maybe they can improve and work on not letting your experience happen to the patients that use this facility in the future!
  9. You could take some Benadryl. It has helped me in the past with itching.
  10. First let me say I have been very disciplined on my liquid diet the past two weeks and lost 14 pounds. BUT, after working so hard, I cheated tonight and had 8 oz. of Skinnygirl wine. Total of 160 calories. It was great, but now feeling guilty.
  11. First thing you should do is publicly name the doctor and facility!!!
  12. I feel the same! I felt do bad last week but right around the 9th day began feeling halfway normal!! I am now at 12 days and it keeps getting better!!
  13. I was banded 7 days ago. Have had lots of bruising. This morning I reached down to get something and it hurt a bit. A few minutes later I checked and was bleeding from port incision. Like a good amount on my dressing, calling doc. Has this happened to anyone?
  14. Need some reassurance....I was banded a week ago today. It has been seven days and I still have so much bruising. Like purple bruising. I even had just a bit of bleeding today (may have done something to irritate it while working out) on the port site incision. Nothing major. I just cannot stand to look at myself and will feel much better if it is normal. I am going to call the doc tomorrow AM to get their opinion but wanted to see if any of you had any opinions on this. Thanks so much!!
  15. I everyone. I am a current member and was banded on September 28. So my sister is interested in having it done but keeps insisting that her insurance will not pay. Her husband works for Walmart Didtribution and that is who her insurance is through. Anyone here work at and have insurance through Walmart?
  16. Yeah, me too. Is this the Twilight Zone? I am totally not following.
  17. I am where you are post op. banded on Friday. My doc said leave bandages on until Sunday, which is when I could shower. Leave strips on until they fall off. I co ER the biggest one again. When I checked with Doc yesterday, they said again to let strips fall off but no need to cover them anymore with bandages.
  18. Okay, so this has happenened to me (mouth watering) but I am only 5 days post op and have not even had a full yet!
  19. I am about the same number of says post op as you. I do still have pain but the pain and the gas have gotten better. I called yesterday and got some anti nausea meds because my tummy was so irritated and jumbly....is that a word Probably not. When I called they said the pain was normal and could still be gas but most likely from all the internal swelling. They said I would likely turn a corner in the next day or two. I did feel better last night.
  20. I am looking for some September banders using My Fittness Pal. I was banded September 28th. If you would not mind adding me as a friend or sharing your username, it would give me some friends to chat with that are in the same time frame I am in. My username is Knewland1 Thanks!!!!
